Hey folks, for the past 12 years me and some friends have been making terrain from scratch for a decent amount of tables. I'm setting up my own table at home now and want to speed things up a little. I'm looking for suggestions for terrain kits that are either plastic or resin (no MDF). Aside from the GW kits what else have people used, or recommend?

what is MDF?
try checking out the aquarium section in any big box store. Alternately, try a Christmas store for the christmas village stuff. It is generally easy enough to find a scale that you can use on the table, and out of season as it is, you might be able to get the ceramic stuff that can be easily blackened and made to look war torn.

Use Mantic's Deadzone scenery. It's plastic and interlocking given you countless options, and not badly priced either

Sorry, that should be Battlezone scenery

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

Fibre Board. It's like pressed fibre, resembles wood. Very popular these days with laser cut terrain. Always smells burnt as two hells when you open the packing. Very rough detailing.

It works really well for certain games, as it fits the aesthetics of for example Malifaux. I have loads of MDF terrain for mali, but I'm not a fan of it for 40k.

Check out this site. I thought it was very reasonably priced. Good luck to you.
