I'm curious why the Great Unclean One instead of the Mighty Lord of Khorne that came with the set? Using the Lord will keep over all synergy. The Great Unclean One won't buff your army, though he does have good offensive stats.

Over all, it looks pretty similar to what I have planned for my Slaves/Khorne army. In the few games I've played now, I haven't found the Sorcerer Lord too useful. The only thing he's done consistently is disappoint, lol. Magick is the area in a Khorne themed army where buffs don't matter, so I'm looking at Tzeentch for a wizard. Either Kairos or a Lord of Change.

I went with Chaos Glaives for my Knights. Knights are meant to charge, so I wanted the Impaling Charge bonus. They've proven quite valuable so far.

I also went with the Chaos Greatblade for my Chariot. I've been using it as a Hero killer against my kid's Death Heroes. It's been doing an overall good job of it, and the rend with the greatblade is part of the reason. Against normal infantry types, maybe not so much. I'm seriously considering some Wrathmongers as anti-hero units, as well. I like the idea of a Hero attacking itself with it's full arsenal.

It looks pretty solid and diverse to me. I'm very tempted by the Demons of Khorne Start Collecting! box...

I didn't use the MLoK because in my past two games he was pretty much useless for me, but I guess I could try him again.

I don't play Bloodbound but I understand it's all about the synergy and buffs in that army. The GUO and Sorceror are jarring from both a synergetic and thematic stance.

Who do you use as your general? The Mighty Lord of Khorne is good just because his axe is so scary for any big monster like Nagash. His command ability is good too.

As you have so many demons it might be better to instead of the GUO get a Wrath of Khorne Bloodthister. Run him as your general and add a Bloodstoker back in.

If you whipped the Bloodletters with the Stoker and used the Bloodthirster's command ability on them they could run and charge and would get 4+ inches to both (8" in total). As well as re-roll wound rolls of 1.

If they start 24" away, move them 5", then run 4"+D6, a 3 on that roll gets you 12" away if they also deployed on the edge putting you in charge range. A charge of 2D6 averages a 7, plus the 4" from the buffs gets you just out of range at 11", but a roll of 8+ (or a higher previous run roll) and you've done a turn 1 charge.

The Bloodletters will have 'murderous tide' ability and should have been buffed by the portal of skulls too.

If you let your opponent take the first turn, you could charge on your first turn and hopefully get the double turn too.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I would add Skarr Bloodwrath into your army if you can too, and think about some Wrathmongers.

Lastly, I would recommend listening to the Bravery One podcast on Bloodbound. It's the SCGT champion going through the book and reviewing each unit in there. (Adult humor throughout however).

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Bottle made a couple of the points I was going to, so the other question is, how do you use your MLoK? Sometimes a General's job is to stay in the rear and buff units. If they enter combat, they need to be supported, not all alone. The first time I played against my kid's Death army, I had his Varghulf and Vampire Lord off the table on the first turn. He'd left them out in the open, unsupported.
