Just had a really simple idea to fix snazzguns:

Instead of rolling AP once, roll for each wound caused.

ie, all the dice that wound, you reroll for AP of those wounds. Then for each wound, you "use up" the highest AP roll that would deny a save. If no AP roll is left that would deny a save, then use up the highest AP roll. (This should deny the maximum number of saves, even in a unit with mixed Sv values)

I really like this because it's still random, but it eliminates the whole problem of Flash Gitz firing on the "wrong" unit because you got a bad AP roll. What do you guys think?

Or we could fix Flash Gitz by making them 4+ and having their formation confer TL instead of the PAINFUL experience of Master-Crafted.

I think an easier fix is to go and make Flash Gitz have a dedicated role of anti-heavy infantry and make the AP roll a D3 rather than D6. Now they can reliably ignore MEQ and very likely to ignore TEQ, giving Orks their effective "plasma" unit that doesn't require big gunz to kill.

Add in what Slayer-Fan already stated and we're on our way back to fixing an underwhelming codex.

I think the moron who wrote the Ork codex should be fired and they should hire a competent rules writer for our next codex.

Seriously what kind of fething moron gives EVERY model in a Unit a boss pole. Who the feth wants 10 boss poles in a unit of 10 FlashGitz, no, we want AT LEAST 4+ armor on those expensive gitz, and the option to take a painboy would be welcome, as would the option to make...wait for it

Flash Git Bikerz. Instead of Dakka Gunz they get TL Snazz Gunz on a T5 4+ armor 4+ Jink model
