Hi all,

I want to build a competitive 1000 pt list to play against my friends elder (at least he doesn't use a WK).. I want to limit the number of extra models I have at first, so I want to know exactly what to get at the moment.

What list do you think is overall better?

LIST 1

Canoptek Harvest (334 pts)

1x Canoptek Spyder - Fabricator Claw Array, Gloom Prism, TL Particle Beam

5x Canoptek Wraiths - 3x whip coils

3x Scarabs

Retribution Phalanx (665 pts)

Overlord - Phase Shifter, Res Orb, Veil of Darkness, Tachyon Arrow, warscythe

Triarch Stalker - TL H Gauss

20x Necron Warriors

3x Scarabs

LIST 2

Reclamation Legion

Nemesor Zahndrekh

5x Immortals - Gauss
5x Immortals - Gauss

5x Lychguard HS/DS

5x Tomb blades - TL Gauss

10x Warriors w/ ghost ark
10x Warriors w/ ghost ark

Or do you not recommend any of the 2

Thanks for looking!

List one is better. Ghost Arks aren't very good, especially now that GW's FAQ has made it so that embarked units in a jinking transport snap-shoot. However, list one also has some red flags:

1. You want your Warriors to die, so I don't see how the Resurrection Orb helps your game plan. Tachyon Arrows are very expensive for what they do. 25 points for a one use Railgun isn't really worth it. I would stick with Veil, Shifter and Scythe.
2. 20 Warriors are pretty hard to put down and I'd be surprised if you ever got to use From the Sands We Rise. Tone that squad down to 15 and even then they may not die.
3. Don't run Gauss on the Stalker. Heat Rays are an all around better weapon with more versatility and tank-punching power.
4. I get that you want to use up points, but your Tomb Spyder has too many upgrades. The Fabricator Claw is only good if you plan on using lots of vehicles and particle beams are pretty mediocre. I think the Gloom Prism has some applications especially against Eldar, so just stick with it.

That frees up 135 points. You can use that to get a Night Scythe or, more boldly, re-jig into a Combined Arms.
