This is the new list that I'm making for friendly games and maybe a small tournament or two...Using the Purge formation lets all of the flame weapons in this renegade army re-roll for wounds, the Ordinance Tyrant lets me leave any blast markers in place until my next shooting phase and those templates are considered dangerous terrain. I have 10 large blasts per turn right now. I'm using the Cult of Slaughter formation for my Chaos allies, this lets me roll a D6 for each unit of cultists at the start of my movement phase and brings back that number that I've lost in the previous turn, also any cultist units within 9" of my Dark Apostle gain the zealot rule as well. This list should do very well against all but the fast deathstar armies and drop pod army's, tell me what you think?

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies. |

Looks good! I'm curious as to why you chose the cult of slaughter when compared with plague zombies? The zombies have inbuilt fearless, 4+ FNP and no dark apostle tax. They don't have as much killing power, but I'm sure you aren't taking cultists for the killing power! Unless you're taking them as you have the models, which is understandable Personally I'd opt to trade out the chimeras for as many spawn as you can muster if you want a more mobile objective claiming force!

If I go with zombies, i would have to give up Ordinance tyrant, which I love! Is a matter of fact, I do already have 20 cultists 80% painted, good call. But the zealot bubble gives them feerless...

You don't have to give up Ordnance Tyrant to take zombies, you just also give him Covenant of Nurgle and now you can also take Zombies as troops in all your vraks detachments

Yeah, no need to give up ordnance tyrant for nurgle. I would recommend the zombies as more optimal than the cultist formation - for the cost of the dark apostle you can get another 35 zombies - I know who would win in a fight

So if I drop the Cult of Slaughter formation, I can add a 20 man zombie blob and a Blight drone and still have 10 points to spend. For some reason Battlescribe will only let me add 1 unit of zombies....

Because the IA13 Renegades could only take 1 unit of zomibres. Vraks Renegades can take multiple but Battlescribe probably just copy pasted the IA13 rules over (this is why I don't like army builders)
