I was reading a popular website about various games, including warhammer 40k, and I came across this idea.

Havoc squad equipped with heavy bolters, icon of flame on sarge.

Is that worth it, or no?

Heavy Bolters do very little damage, and the icon of flame does no real damage whatsoever.

Ah, the quadrumvirate. A true sign of greatness.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

Why do you keep wanting Icon of Flame? all it does is give Soul Blaze which is terrible

The only Havocs worth using are Havocs with Autocannons.

You can make an argument for Special Weapons, but chosen can do that for a mildly higher price but not at the expense of using a Heavy Support Slot.

The only platforms worth taking soul blaze on are rhinos or defilers. Your soul blaze upgrade is cheap and works with all your weapon options, so flamers, havoc launchers, battle cannons, etc. Soul blaze is for thinning large blobs of bad armor save units like guardsmen or orks, something you will almost never want to fire your special weapons squads into. Save that for vehicles with dedicated anti horde weapons.

Slayer-Fan123 is right. Chosen also have more CC punch than havocs. Which, given how close you are then, does make a difference. If you're really that set on clearing hordes, the chosen with 5 flamers and a rhino will give you one more flamer and 2 more attacks each for a a mere 20 points more.

Good points made by all; will consider these things at greater length.
