Looking to add tattoos to my Space Wolves units. What would be some good colors for a blueish paint, like shown in generic GW photos, and methods used to make them look decent enough?

I find mixing the tattoo color with the base skin color is the ticket. It's the difference between looking tattooed on and painted on.

There's lots of tutorials on the internet about painting tattoos on miniatures. I suggest googling "painting tattoos on miniatures" and you'll come up with several articles on the first page.

Here's 3 that came up...

The same could be said about almost any topic in P&M, Skink.
The benefit here is the opportunity for Q&A with actual people.

My advice would be to study pictures of tattoos that have been in the sun, and different body areas. Arm and hand tattoos are different in terms of wear, to say, head tattoos.

True as that is... that Bushido article is the best advice that I (an actual person... as far as you all know) could give.

I will definitely check out the links. I did come across one of them already, I just wanted to get a wider perspective on what other "non" professional gents used for color and techniques. My first attempts were not very good to say the least.

I appreciate the feedback.
