Recently got a 3rd Knight and I really wanted to do something with all of those cultists I have laying around, so I formed the list below. I'm not looking to win tournaments, rather have fun in a competitive meta

Chaos Renegade Knight Detachment

Crimson Slaughter Cult of Slaughter Detachment

Dark Apostle: Sigil of Corruptiong, Power Maul, MoT, Bolt Pistol, Warlord
Cultists: x20, MoT

The fun thing is that a 6++ on a cultists drastically increases their viability, and at worst 3 are coming back ever turn with a max of 18, meanwhile, the knights can run around putting out 72 S7 Rending shots a turn. With this I can glance AV 14 to death, as theoretically I would be able to reduce a AV14 target 8 HP per turn if all of my knights focused on the one target. And against a MEQ army (using SM stats) I should be able to make 40 wounds with 72 shots.

My other thought is to give one knight 2 Rapid Fire Battle Cannons because who doesn't like pie plates, and otherwise I will never use mine.

Ok so you are spamming durable units that can kill all targets is what you are saying.

Why bother with the cultists? Run more knights.

@changer, The forsworn can not be your main detachment so he needs the crimson slaughter detachment as his main.

@sturge, the avenger gat is only s6. Dont count on rending to kill av14. Better get meltaguns.

6++ on a cultists does not "drasticlly increase durability". You go from taking 100% failed saves to 83% failed saves. Thats only 17% thats not a lot. plus the second you get a cover save it is literally wasted points

I was going to mention this, but I think he just wants to spam knights so my advice turned to that.
With grief's comment, I guess just run 2 squads of 10 cultists (or 8 with KDK) and a sorcerer or lord as a cheap hq, that way you have the most points for knights.
