So I need some suggestions for a reliable piece of LOS blocking terrain to protect the Ork Boyz turn 1.

My army uses lots of trukks, and lootaz, so first idea I. Skyshield Landing Pad. Nice invul, high visibility, and the trukks can be placed behind it for some obscurity.

Second, the new Armored Containers.

Only downside to them would be the fact that they poof away after their "wounds" are lostill.

Third to consider, a bastion. Only it too has an AV value, and can only hide 2 trukks or so behind it.

Lastly, the Void Shield Generator. Just have to find a suitable conversion.

So any suggestions on a decent fortification for the Green Skins to loot?

Don't forget the Aegis Defence Line, although that doesn't fully block LOS. Cheap, and somewhere for your lootas to sit and shoot from.

If blocking LOS is your major issue, look at generic buildings, hills etc too - or are you looking for the type of terrain which you deploy as part of your army? Most of the examples you list have their own special rules and advantages (and costs) beyond LOS blocking. Something which is also a safe firebase for your lootas would seem to make sense for you.

Containers seem the most flexible option, i.e. can be placed many ways on the table. You don't want something which is useless in some games.

ADL are great choices to great cover saves. Going to ground behind them grants an even bigger save, so it's a good place to setup your shootas. I want to see the containers!

Skyshield is great for lootas and mek guns. Place a painboy in either unit for added fun.

Active armies, still collecting and painting First and greatest love - Orks, Orks, and more Orks largest pile of shame, so many tanks unassembled most complete and painted beautiful models, couldn't resist the swarm will consume all
Armies in disrepair: nothing new since 5th edition oh how I want to revive, but mostly old fantasy demons and some glorious Soul Grinders in need of love

The Containers are nice and are a nice addition to most battlefields but i would personally go for either an Aegis line, custom build an orky one that would give 25% cover to your trukks

I would go with the aegis defence line if it was up to me as it could give a long line of lootas some much needed protection although it won't give complete protection it would spread out the protection amongst the boys and trukks also it is a chance to make a nice bit of army specific relatively easily.

Bunker with Escape Hatch: Put bunker on edge of your deployment zone, put escape hatch 12" midfield. Put a mob of boyz in it and use it as a tunnel to get your foot sloggers across the table and in the face of anyone who has the misfortune to get anywhere near the escape hatch.

Since the armored containers have been released they are an attractive option as well, but more if your looking sit lootaz or Burnaz next to one to take advantage of the Promethium and re-rolls.
