Alternate Armies had a line of RT like marines that are still in production. Google Ion age and you should fine them

And of course the current marines have beaky heads and chest plates you might get enough with some trades and eBay bits

Are you making acolytes wear 10pts armor? I hope you aren't n making a spacemarine\inquisitor changer.

I had considered it, I wrote a not GW space marine story, where they looked like that, but had other marines like computer tech marines, assassin marines, officer marines (all called guilds).
I've not decided rules wise what they'll be, at very least a cool painting project.

They gotta be smaller and less round, the ones today are just too round.
Not the style I am going for.
And they don't work well for the women, because there are women in these space marines (who, the rank and file, are all prisoners, given a 10 year contract and at the end are free). They are thrown into the harshest fighting.
The other guilds, (assassins, tech, officers, regular planetary army soldiers who earn armour via valour) aren't prisoners.

I like these but I do need a few I can convert heads with, since as I mention, some are women.

So you're looking for women in power armour with a RT vibe? Is that right?

I feel like I've seen something that works... Demon Blade had a not Battle Sisters line in the 90s try eBay or I thing merge minis is now selling them but under a new name.

Hassle free has some great ones but more of a modern hard sci fi vibe.

Same with Dreamscape and their panzer Jagger's.

And of course Reaper has tons of women in armour who can be sci fi with some conversion.

No conversions can be done later, they just need heads I can easily get off, you know? (Or obviously come as a multi part kit)

autocorrect on my gf tablet took a dump on my post lol. I mean't, I hope you're making a marine/inquisitor chapter rather then 15pts bolter/power armor acolytes which just plain suck for the price.

Yeah more then likely. I mean this is a looking army since I really dislike 7th edition.
It's really not worth playing with all the madness it has (not as mad as AoS but not sane either).
I skipped 6th and seem to be doing the same with 7th, it's just too different then the 40k I remember.

Are there any plastic non GW Rogue Trader style beakies out there?

Heck no.

That said, I've built around 200+ MkVI Marines now. The trick is to peruse bits-sellers.

Might have to ebay a few to intersperse with some of those other companies metals (as some need converted helmetless heads)

I continue to remain a bit amazed that Forge World does not sell a simple 10-20 "Beakie" head kit.

Yeah I agree that is slightly weird.

Yeah I mean the symbols could be shaven off, if I do go with modern marines (which is a last resort) I'd have to shave off any skulls or eagles.

You seem to want something rather specific. A mix of women and men in old school power armor resembling the old beakies. I don't think that exists.

I'm gonna throw this out there, because I think it might work for what you're trying to represent. I realize they aren't beakies but I think they have certain balance of aesthetic with some old RT art like aesthetic choices. This is a popular conversion some people have used for Sisters of Battle. They are generally uni-sex in appearance and are similar in height to GW models.

This is a set of 5 for $25:

As far as helmeted heads go, I think more human sized heads look better than space marines sized helmets. I think its relatively easy to find Skitarii and Tempestus Scion heads on ebay, but if you want something third party for the sake of being able to order quantities there are a number of bits manufacturers... Puppets War, Anvil Industries, Kromlech, Mad Robot, to name a few.

If you absolutely want a beakie style head, there are a number of people on Shapeways that will do custom bits, but it can get pricey. ~$50-60 to make the digital model and then ~$25 for sets of 10.

Mythos... Coming across your post there, about the Sororitas conversions, totally made staying up til 2 AM reading forums a hugely worthwhile investment for me and I am an immensely happier human being for having read it.

If you were in the room with me, I would hug you so tightly your spine made popping noises. : D

Edit: That came out wrong. I'm having trouble describing how I feel without resorting to lots of exclamation marks and happy emoticons though, so it'll have to do.

I'm guessing you want a Sister of Battle army?

Its funny you say that because I was just thinking this office chair has really given me a stiff back. In highschool one of my football playing friends could lift my then 200lbs self in a bear hug, it would just pop my whole back and I would jokingly go rag doll.

I have a Sisters of Battle army.

It's just that my infantry are all metal, which doesn't let me make heretical conversions to turn them into scalies/furries since I'm gak at cutting metal and am terrified of most power tools. Been longing for plastics so I could make my furry Sororitas. What you posted is a great option.

I currently weigh about 245lbs, but sometimes when I hug my mom, I squeeze her tightly enough her spine pops a bit. Apparently it feels good afterward.

Yep, just simple, unadorned Mk6 heads. I was shocked they didn't.

And I frankly do not care if it's heresy or not, as my Sororitas are not allied with the Imperium.

How mad are you now?

Well the Sisterhood has a clear policy with abhumans, why do you think you've not seen any 40k Beastmen or Minotaurs in the Imperium since 1st? lol
