We are backed and One Shot #3 is gonna happen. Hurrah! Thank you for your support, I'm really excited about this campaign and with the total now achieved I can get this model into production asap. I cannot wait to see Tom's brilliant sculpt come off the printer in full, physical, glorious three dimensions!
And, not only has the total been passed, the first stretch goal is also down. That means that backers will get the awesome artwork by Holly Woolford included in their pledge as a numbered art card. She's still working on the image for the back of the card but here's a look at the main art in all of it's glory.
Here's a look at the stretches that are still to come (and yes, there will be more after this if they get unlocked!) including one that is going to be exclusive to this campaign.
Time for me to spend a bit of time with Jemma, eat some fine food (well, tasty, I'm not sure greasy pizza can actually be classed as fine but it's something of a KS launch tradition) and I'll hopefully be back to report on more campaign progress soon.
I almost want to back because that would make an excellent statue for a project. It just feels like it'd be a massive waste to take a model that nice and then paint it up as stone. Some of the other models would go along with that theme too, though with the same issue.
Might keep my eye on the project though in case I decide my painting table doesn't have enough wasted potential on it.
bust and 32mm figure (previously available at Salute)
32mm KS exclusive veriosn of the main figure
54mm tesla (availanble previously via the big smoke KS I think)
This means that every Dynamic Pose 54mm Tara will have an alternate head included. Tom's not quite got the sculpt finished but as soon as he does I'll make sure you get a look at it.
I want this
Tom will sculpt an alternate close combat weapon for the Dynamic 54mm Tara to add more combat options. This sculpt will be sorted before the end of the campaign but I have to be perfectly honest, we never expected to be at this point so quickly, so it's not quite underway.
Tom's currently juggling a few other jobs and getting to work on the alternate head option that was unlocked for Dynamic 54mm Tara several stretch goals back though. Here's a look at the work in progress...

Wow! This campaign has officially surpassed my expectations. Full transparency here - Tom, venturing on his first Kickstarter, was shocked within a day about the total we had reached, cynical, experienced me, on my third Kickstarter outing, started to be rather surprised soon after that!
We had high hopes for the campaign of course, but getting to the + side of £5k was really the hope. Approaching £10k already is eye-widening to say the least! Thank you everyone.
Over the last couple of days I've been chatting with Tom and Holly about the next steps for the campaign, working out what else we could incorporate in case things keep on going up. We were ready for a little more but wanted to ensure we can fit in some more cool extras and still make fulfillment manageable in a reasonable time. I think we've done that and we are set for the run through to the end of the campaign. Phew!
At £8.5k the third Infamy Bonus was unlocked. Already included in the All In pledges, others can add the towering Ranged Futura to their pledge for £12, saving £6. In addition, the BackerKit that will run after the campaign will be a Black Market event. This means you will be able to pick up some special edition Infamy stuff should you so desire.
The next stretch goal is at £10k and with it Tom will sculpt a new model. This will be a robot to add to the base of Tara's 54mm version, should you so wish, or to use separately as an individual miniature. This will be free to anyone with an All In pledge. If you missed out on the limited allowance of pledges there have no fear, we will work out how to make this model an add-on once its sculpt is sorted out!
And another backer based stretch goal is on the way too. This will be the final new pledge that will be added to the campaign. As with the All In it will be limited to 50 and it allows those who may already have some of the Infamy models included in All In to just pick up the different versions of Captain Tara - the two 54mm models and the two 32mm ones.
Finally, Holly has been working on the reverse side of the Tara art. There's a lot of texturing, finishing and grime of war to be added but it's looking so cool already! Here's a look at the work in progress.
Cheers, James

The slight mid-campaign slump has hit, with things losing a little momentum. Hopefully it's not having too much of an impact on your excitement though, it certainly isn't on mine. This is actually a known thing in Kickstarter land and the fact that Tara's Kicktraq chart has so far been positive every day is a great achievement!
But with 215 backers a new pledge level can be unlocked! Hurrah!
This pledge has been added to the campaign but is limited to just 50 availability. It is also the very last pledge that will be added to the campaign ever, no matter how much things continue to grow, just so you all know.
Should the campaign get to 300 backers the final backer stretch goal will unlock. With this every single Tara model in the campaign will be a Kickstarter Exclusive. This will include the One Shot #3 Tara that started off this campaign. She will never go on general sale. It's not impossible that this could be reached either, especially with your continued support and sharing.
The next stretch goal is getting closer and if we can reach it Tom will add a new robot to the campaign. Although he should be focusing on other things rumour has it that he's already gotten started on some basic prep for this one, so hopefully we will have something to show off before the campaign is through if we get it.
Store stuff
I'll finish up with a little housekeeping message regarding the wider world of Infamy. The majority of my stock was moved to Stockport yesterday ahead of my house and business move there. This means that I've temporarily cut down the stock levels in the online store to what remains at my long-suffering parents' place!
The move won't happen until next month but with this Kickstarter going and many other things to deal with the last thing I wanted was to build up a huge backlog of orders. However, I can easily pack and ship the limited amount that I've currently got in the store before I go. In fact I'd prefer to, rather than have more things to take with me! So, if you're in the mood for any Big Smoke models then now's a great time to hit up the store.
As an extra incentive, using the code 'infamymove2016' will get you 20% off any order placed until the end of the month.
But I totally appreciate you are already putting in plenty here, so no pressure, there will doubtless be offers in the future and stock in full availability, this isn't a one time only chance to get savings, I always try and look out for people who back Infamy's Kickstarters.
Into the last few days - more stretch goal goodness
Hey everyone,
It's been a busy time over the last day or so! The number of backers has rocketed and the campaign total has passed £12k, which is pretty amazing! That means that another stretch goal has unlocked.
I'll be putting together all kinds of painting content about the models, covering different techniques and approaches. I'll do my best to ensure there's something for all skill levels with it, covering as many different approaches as possible. And when I say I will, I'll most likely rope in some real 'pro painters' to help me out! As fulfilment begins there will be more updates about the painting content!
You asked for it so we'd better do it, (this is not going to be the case with everything you might ask for, I hasten to add!) the KI-SO model will get an alternative pouncing pose if £13k is reached.
If the campaign reaches 300 backers the initial model that started it all, the standard pose Tara One Shot, will become a Kickstarter Exclusive. I'm fairly stunned this is getting so close already and excited that the model could become completely exclusive to the people who have supported it. A true collectors' item!
For now that's about it but hopefully we can build up some real momentum through to the end of the campaign. This one's been a real pleasure to run so thank you to you all for your support!
Cheers,
James

Approaching the end - is the Big Smoke on the horizon?
Hey everyone,
The end of the campaign is close with just 48 hours to go. To say that it's been an awesome few weeks would be an understatement. Thanks to your support this project has more than surpassed the pre-launch expectations that sculptor Tom and myself had. You've kept us both busy with updates and working out what else we can cram into the campaign. Did anyone notice that the doggy was actually completely conceived of and sculpted during the period it was announced and unlocked? Nah, I think we got away with it and nobody suspected a thing! Hurrah!
Kickstarter is an unpredictable beast, you may have noticed that from the way the total has fluctuated at times. We have no idea quite where this campaign will end up to be perfectly honest with you! Some projects get a big boost at the end, some stay pretty stable at the finish... with that in mind, I think it's best to announce the final stretch goal now, just in case...
Should the total reach £15,000 Tom will create a completely new version of Tara to fit into Infamy's steampunk world of the Big Smoke! This model will take inspiration and character from the sci-fi sculpt but add plenty of steampunk flair.
For those familiar with Infamy's Big Smoke you'll know what kind of quality to expect, for those of you who aren't, check out the wide range of models in the store - as you'll see, Infamy's steampunk isn't just a case of sticking a few cogs onto things! This alternative Victorian London is a living, breathing city that's taken many years of daydreaming and a good number of skilled artists to realise.
Tom is no stranger to its residents and has sculpted various wonderful and wacky Big Smoke characters. With Tara there's an opportunity for some experimentation though, bringing the first Russian character to the streets of London. This will give him a chance to bring some of that culture and background into the style of her clothing and her technological devices. I'm pretty excited at the prospect!
The model will be a 54mm scale add-on for the campaign and the price will be the same as the other two Taras - £20. It'll be a Kickstarter Exclusive too!
But after getting ahead of myself I'll rewind to the next goal we are aiming for at £13,000, a KI-SO model in a dynamic pounce. This will be an alternate option so the price (and how it fits in if you buy extras or are at different pledge levels) will match up with the current one. You can let me know how many of each version you want in the post campaign BackerKit.
And we are less than 50 backers away from the final backer stretch goal. The main Tara model that started all this, the static posed One Shot #3, will become a Kickstarter Exclusive at 300 backers. At the end of such an epic campaign this feels like a really great way to reward backers for their support so I hope that we manage to reach it.
Ok, I'll leave it there and hopefully I can be back with an update about unlocking one or more of these goals before the campaign finishes.
Cheers,
James

Ended up deciding to waste potential by having some shipped out here. Really what pushed me off the fence was the dog (fits in too well with the project it'd be going towards) and that the nice folks in the UK voted to give me a roughly 10% discount on how expensive things were when the campaign started.
So thoughtful those Brits...and I didn't even get you guys anything.
Just on a side note...does anyone know what the below photo is supposed to reference? Is it an "in-universe" pic or what?
Because it was posted as part of update #16, and I don't get the reference...
