Hello,
I'm still new to the tournament scene, and will be hosting a 3rd tournament down in Toronto.
I wanted to gather information based on what other tournament organisers think, in regards to the below questions for both 1500, 1850 and 2000 pts games:
1. Have you ever allowed 30k in a 40k tournament and at what point value?
- What issues do you forsee?
2. @1500pts I've done 2.5hrs. How long would you give for a 1850 and 2000 pts game?

1850 is also a decent 2.5 hr. 2000pts tends to be a little high unless you go 3hr but most if not all tournaments I've been to are either 1500 or 1850 @ 2.5hr games. Never seen 30k allowed in any 40k tournament so far.

To be honest I don't play 30k so I can't really comment on that fact but I don't think they were designed to mingle.

In an actual competitive tournament setting? 30K gets stomped. Hard.

30k army's are meant to be played at 2k+ pts usually 2.5k -3k, at the normal tournament pt levels they are severely under powered, not to mention the lack of formations that 40k has which imbalances it even further.

this. There's not much reason not to allow both. The Warzone Atlanta tournament does so you can learn from their experience.
And if you're concerned about duration, do 1500 points.
