Simple, here's the list, trying to win without cheese or spamming. It's performing ok to good so far. Want to see if there's any suggestions.
CSM CAD
HQ - Kharn
HQ - Dark Apostle, mark of Khorne
Troops - Khorne Bezerkers x8, Lightning claw on champion
Troops - Cultists x20, shotgun on champ.
Fast attack - Warp Talons x5, VotLW, MoK.
Fast attack - Heldrake, Bale flamer
Heavy support - Land Raider, dirge caster
Heavy support - Maulerfiend, lashers
Heavy support - Maulerfiend, stock
Chaos Daemons Allied detachment
HQ - Bloodthirster of unfettered fury, armour of scorn, 2x greater, 1x lesser
Troops - Bloodletters x10, banner, blood reaper.
So normally I deep strike the letters, and sometimes the thirster depending on the opponent. Kharn rides with the zerkers in the raider, and the apostle joins the cultists for a fearless blob. I've been told the talons are a bad choice, but they've done so much work for me so far. It helps that my opponents are predominantly space marines so with VotLW I get to re roll to hit AND are roll to wound at ap3.
So, what does dakka think?

This list seems legit. I am a bit wondering if the Dark Apostle is necessary at all however.

He makes the cultist blob fearless though. The other day an iron clad dropped in behind my maulerfiends and land raider. A long with a large chunk of his force. The apostle allowed me to charge the cultist blob into the iron clad. I knew they couldn't hurt him. But be didn't break out of combat until turn 5/6 because he had to chew through 22 wounds!

I would run magma cutters on both mauler fiends, at 1850 points you really need more anti-armor I feel.
I am wary of warp talons, but if you say they have been working for you then don't stop, that's awesome.
In a MEQ Meta like yours, this should do pretty well!

I have thought about double magma cutters. The lashers do help against things like dreads though. Heck, once the pair managed to charge and drop an imperial knight as he only had 1 attack because of the lashers. It was some damn lucky rolling though!

Looks awesome. I was going to suggest breaking the Cultists up into 2 squads but after reading your tarpit tactic, I got nothing.
Kudos on using units people swear are no good. I myself love using Raptors and Helbrutes. Every unit has their use!

Thanks for the love guys. There's many ways I've tried to switch it up, bring n the daemonkin codex for example. I thought about moving most of the units to the daemonkin book, swapping the apostle for a Lord, and putting the legacy of Armageddon on the raider for +1 invuln to the Maulers, letters, and thirster. I also lose daemonic instability which is a plus and gain fearless. BUT, I lose the armour on the thirster, and I lose the rewards. And I think that makes him a lot more vulnerable. Automatically Appended Next Post: It's working ok for me so far. But I haven't come up against a top tier force yet.
