Trying to put together two formations: 1st Company Hammerfall Assault Force and Hunting Force.

First thing I need is a generic Terminator Captain. The only ones I can find are either named unique characters or designed for a specific army. Has anyone done any type of terminator conversion to make a Terminator Captain? If so, can you help me out as to how.

Second thing I need is a generic Space Marine Captain on Space Marine Bike. Finding a bike and a Space Marine to put on top isn't difficult, but the additional ornamentation and weaponry that would normally go with a captain... not really sure where to get that. Can anyone point me in the right direction on that one as well?

Generally most people just make captains from the stock boxes, so in your case it would be a single biker and a single terminator. You then just add on extra parts; Sternguard boxes, the Command Squad and Vanguard boxes have a good selection of parts to add for "generic" characters.

Terminators are a bit harder because most terminator-specific parts tends to be for either chapter specific terminators or very plain. However you can do weapon swaps You can take Vanguard power weapons and do a weapon swap, and you can decorate the armor with pieces from Sternguard boxes and command squads.

As for Terminator Captain, not sure. You could paint up a helmetless Terminator as a captain and then the other terminators have helmets (including the sergeant) so you know who is who.

This guy is a generic Terminator Captain, and with a Termie squad as well represents good value for a GW platic character.

As for the bike guy, Sternguard and Vanguard Vets are an excellent source of bits, as is the Command Squad, plus there's the Deathwatch guy or the DV Bikers if the molded detail is appropriate.

Azreal posted the generic Termi-Captain which looks pretty neat imho and kitbashing him would probably not be ornate enough if you stay away from chapter-specific bits.

For the bike guy them biggest problem should be the legs. You can get robed legs from the Ravenwing upgrade-sprue which should not have DA iconography on them afaik.

I assume you're looking for something other than a power-fisted terminator captain... In which case your easiest options are the generic termie captain included in the terminator command box, adding sufficient bits to pretty up the terminator sergeant from the regular terminator squad, or-my favourite, converting using dark angel, space wolf, or grey knight terminator squad parts.

For a bike captain it's a simpler conversion, any sufficiently captain-looking torso mounted on any sufficiently bike-looking lower body. Perhaps a ravenwing bike with a few carefully applied bits.

What kind of gear options do you want?

I built a CC oriented TDA captain from the BaC box one. Just an easy swap of the c-melta to a lighting claw.


My bike captain was just a stroll through my bits box. The bike was spruced up with the DA accessory sprue, the captain was parts from the multi-part commander kit (torso, backpack) vanguard vet (helmet) sternguard vet (shoulders, crest) and a bike (bike, legs)
