Hello all!

For the first time I am looking to play some public games of 40k. Alas, my last opponent has elected to cease the hobby.

I know of The Portal (in Waterbury I think?) How is that place? I've looked over their online resources but I'll admit I'm a bit confused by their schedules, do they have open (non-tournament) gaming days?

I also heard a rumor that there was a place in Orange CT, but I'll admit I have no idea where it is.

Any information is appreciated, thank you much in advance!

There is a lot of gaming up in Manchester, I've yet to get up there.

Gamers Gambit has tables, but you'd have to try and link up with someone on their facebook for a game.

Im still trying to make it down to Norwalk to visit Battlegrounds Gaming. They have tabletop day on Sunday, which is hard for me to fit in from 12-6. (Sidenote where is the sunny day outdoor warhammer leagues?!)

Portal is best place to be. It is in Manchester. They have a massive group of guys who play for the love, the fun, fluff, and some to be as competitive as they can. It is a great group to get a friendly game in, or hone skills to play in the competitive aspect of the game. Store managers name is John, he is mad cool, and the guy who runs the friday nite scenerios/events/league is Clay, also cool guy. You dont need to join the league to play either, but i would suggest friday nite, bring your stuff and talk to John and/or Clay to find a game to the caliber you are looking.

Edit: oh and its free to play at the store and play in the league, they even give out prize support at leagues end for various places/players choice.
