all missions are maelstrom so here is what i wanted advice on:

1.Do i really need 2 lictors since i only have one mawloc, will they give up first blood too easily?
2. Should i trade out hive crone for anothet Mawloc
3. Should i field my venomthropes and lictors in a squad together?

You ask "which is better?", but only post one army list?

It looks like a pretty standard Tyranid tournament list to me. I would definitely want another Mawloc over a Hive Crone. The Flyrants have your Anti-Air covered, and they should also have enough Haywire.

What is your plan with the Venomthropes?

I would remove the two crones, replacing them with either 2 mawlocs and a few more mucolid

or replacing them plus a venomthrope with one mawloc, 2-3 more lone lictors, a Bastion with comm relay and a few more mucolids. keeping the venomthropes in the bastion to increase his shrouded range and the comm relay to help the mawlocs deepstrike.

so you think mawlocs would be better? i can also add a 5th flyrant but then i would be worried about capping objectives. i havent got anymore mucolids at the moment though i do have normal spore mines and i have no more lictors unless i use warrs as proxies. plan with the venomthropes is to give everything cover first turn and then cap my deployment zones objectives and hide.
