Subject: New scenery on kickstarter, cheap and easy

Hi guys ive just backed this project on kickstarter, its scenery from a new company called MAD gaming. ive always really like all the stuff from micro arts and bandua etc but the only stuff i bought was just too flimsy and a pain in the arse.
From what i can tell this is their first kickstarter so theres a lot more to come in the future. the best thing is the magnet system it uses, i think its going to make it a lot easier to put together and wont break. it's also a good amount of space for models. i know its not 40k specific but i thought they might look great on the board.
Im hoping you guys like i as well as some of the unlocks on the kickstarter are awesome (and id like some more free stuff )
Check it out, what do you guys think ?

I think he means that this looks like an advertisement, or that you might be involved with this Kickstarter too?
Anyway, Ive moved this thread into the News & Rumors forum so it will get the most users looking at it.
Best of luck here - no matter what!

The kickstarter looks kind of cool,It's modular lasercut terrain, which is fine, especially for the Brits that tend to get the short end of the stick on kickstarters.
Still, brand new poster that posts the link in three places within minutes of joining? Sketchy...

They look nice, but I agree with this comment.
Are there any well known/community consensus about what a "good and cheap" MDF scenery source is?

I can see why it seems sketchy, yes i am new to the forum, and not gonna lie ofc I want to drum up some support for it so I can get more out of the kickstarter.

20 per unit is a bit steep however, on the bigger bundles its actually quite good value (as with most the kickstarters I've done anyway), from what ive seen the prices are roughly in line with micro arts studios similar pieces.
The bit that made me back it though was the magnet system its got. I've magnetized other bits before but it can be a pain in the arse. At least these come with the magnets and the pre-cut places for them

I've loved the Angry Mojo stuff. Getting in on their initial Kickstarter it was dirt cheap, and the quality has held up to tons of games, and travel. Plus they seem like the kind of nice, and sincere guys you just want to support.

Blatant advertising post is blatant.
Haven't I seen these somewhere before? If so why do they need Kickstarter?

I guess I'd look at Renee Launer's MDF KS for an idea of how much MDF costs, although she hasn't run an SF one. I've seen SF MDF's, but not close enough to suggesting using them as a comparison.

This one was advertised over and over on the Deadzone facebook group.
At first I was really interested, but a couple of things put me off.
1) Price. Along with the realisation I just didn't need another style of mdf building.
2) The thought of cocking up magnet gluing and ending up with North-North or South-South combos somewhere in the build.
