Hey guys so I was just about to grab the eldar start collecting box and then checked 4 bikes and a fire prisim are like 10$ more then the start collecting box.

Are the models in it worth it? Will the prisim ever be used?

I need to go to work every day.

Dollarwise, it is pretty well on target to many of the other starter sets. The models included are all fairly good. I would have rather seen a Falcon than a Fire Prism, but whatever.

Whether it is worth it or not depends on whether you like the models or not. You can only answer that yourself.
If you are asking about rules, there is nothing wrong with the Fire Prism. It is good as far as vehicles go in 7th.

The problem with the fire prism, like most of the Eldar codex, is that it’s not a Wraithknight. It’s solidly average in a book full of awesomesauce.

That and single shot AV isn’t what it used to be. But it has other firing modes, and pie plating marines never gets old.

If you are looking to play on the more friendly side of Eldar, I think it’s a solid addition to your list. I’ve got my eye on picking one up soon-ish, and this box isn’t helping that.

But in top end competitive lists, there are better things to take.

I obtained a box for $64 shipped...again, fair price. Not amazing mind-blowing deal, but fine for what you get.

The savings are more than $10, it's a £26 saving in the UK. The saving is about what they all are.

I prefer the fireprism. A very nice all arounder and it's range allows it to stay in the back not jinking. Falcons tend to need to jink due to their shorter ranged secondaries.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Depends on if you use Falcons to frequently transport models...that's a big addition as far as versatility goes.

I'd say this just about nails it, the monetary cost makes these sets worth while but as with my start collecting CSM, it's full of decidedly average units from a gaming point of view.

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples
