Hello there everyone, this is my first post here on Dakka Dakka, long time lurker.

Anyway, I've been wanting to set up a Dark Heresy 1st edition RPG campaign for a while, just in need of a GM and players at the moment! Aiming for it to be set up on R20. 7-10pm GMT. Saturday Evenings and text-only.

That said, I did have something else I wanted to propose too!

Living Campaign's are complex and rewarding endeavours, requiring dedicated players and fine GM's to accomplish. I have never seen a Warhammer 40k or Fantasy RPG set as a living campaign, it just...doesn't seem to be a thing, despite the possibilities. Imagine being an Inquisitor's acolyte squad and acquiring the services of an Only War game's team to fight off the invasion of a Black Crusade warband's players!

Doesn't that sound fun to you~?

I think so! So what better place to get something like this organised than Dakka Dakka! A wretched hive-city of cleanliness and heroism.

Interesting concept. I myself am already dedicated to an upcoming Rogue Trader campaign that is a continuation of an older campaign we completed a few months ago, so I cannot join your endeavour. However, I do have some recommendations and advice:

1. You do not talk about the plot with your players.
2. You do not talk about the plot with your players. EVER. Our GM's spilt the beans on so much crap because we kept asking him about stuff.
3. When it is time to end a campaign/story arc, it is time to end that campaign/story arc. Do not over extend it or it will become a rotting corpse of what was once loved.

That is all.

Oh, and:

4. Do not railroad
Seriously, dont.

Honest answer....no. It sounds like utter chaos. Because it only takes one group to get behind and then you're stuck with one group's games making decisions which affect another group's.

If you can absolutely trust your players to turn up and not fall behind, great, but..... real life tends to get in the way, I find.

I am intrigued by the concept and would be happy to join the group but I will admit I have never played dark heresy before and I am a noob to 40k RPG's in general
