This is probably a dumb question but I just wanna check if I summon a unit and it mishaps and gets placed in ongoing reserves are they destroyed or do they act like a normal unit after being summoned in and there for would go back into reserve.

I don't see why they would be destroyed - I believe they would be placed into Ongoing Reserves like any other unit.

The second paragraph under Conjuration on BRB p26 confirms ongoing reserves if you need a reference.
