Hello.

As I am doing a ulthwe eldar colour scheme, decided to look at some more fluffy based lists which could also still do well in games.

Still a beginner when it comes to eldar fluff, but from the short amount I have read, they are all about psychic support and elite guardian squads etc supported by the other elements of the eldar force.

I think this list fits in well, and also has some elements to make it have a edge.

Just a fun little list I came up with, let me know your feedback .

This is easily on the fun side of things and not in need of much criticism for that goal.

Looks solid, you can always go all in on the Ulthwe theme and have warlocks in your guardian units and run a guardian battlehost as well, but yeah you'll do well as it it is.

Hey thank you for the replies .

@Torus - There is a warlock in each of the 10 man guardian units already .

How do you think it will do in a tournament type scene, naturally its just being taken for more the fun side, but I would still like to be able to compete.

I play super cheesy lists and only have the skills to win 50% most of the time in RTTs and GTs. So, I am comparing my spider spam, scatbike and WK list to yours.

Two guardian units and footer seer council are very sub-par because:
a. Too short a range on the guardians' guns
b. Their armor (even with a Warlock's Conceal, it's not good as there is a lot of Ignores Cover out there)
c. Council on foot is T3, instead of a council on bikes at T4.
d. Lack of mobility for any footers. Tourney missions in the ITC (which I play) are objective heavy and you have a lot of points in GROPOS units, Battle Focus or not. I believe a lot of other tourney formats have objective based missions that weigh heavily on scoring
d.2. If the Drop Pod sharing nerf becomes official, the Culexus won't be such a big problem any more, but my footer Seers got royally hobbled by that beast (in more than one game) in a GT last year. They just couldn't get far enough away from him to be more than cowardly infantry focusing on running away.

However, if they were on bikes? Cully who?

Thank you for the detailed reply.

Yh I would love to put the council on bike's, however I can't justify spending £20 per farseer/warlock on bike.

Might have to look at some form of conversion work after the event.

I am with ya on the money issue. I wasn't going to invest in jetbikes either, but then a couple years ago, I scored an old Wind Rider box from a friend, at a friend's price! . He had more aspirations to play than actual time.

That doesn't help you, but here are some options on conversions:
Option #1
Far cheaper to get a box of hellions, and use their sky boards to represent bikes. An opponent might complain that the model is too small, both in base and size as far as template hits and such. At a recent tourney, in a unit of big nosed Harley bikes it didn't matter too much to me. It was just two farseers, and they were really old conversions.

Option #2
Guardian gun platforms. These are bigger and might still get dual use as a gun platform when not a pysker's floatie device.

Option#3
Vyper conversion. Proper size and really, what other use does the vyper have these days?

Between options 2 and 3, you might be able to gather and paint enough flying bases for the council's 7 guys. If you have tau buddies, maybe they'll have some flying bases and drones to part with. The drones could be spliced together?

I guess it depends on how much you want to slice them off their existing bases, your hobby skills, etc.

If you're looking for some Elite Guardian power, you might try looking at Forgeworld's Pale Courts host as a core choice for a Craftworld Warhost. It's leaning more towards the fluffy side rather than the tournament side, but It's definitely closer to that "Ulthwe" feel you're going for.
Here's what I threw together using the Pale Courts Battlehost, Trying to stay as close as possible to your original list.:

Craftworld Warhost - 1500 pts

Core Choice: Pale Courts Battlehost - Disciples of Vaul, Tomb-Ship of Fallen Heroes
- Spiritseer
- Vaul's Wrath Support Battery - Shadow Weaver
- 10 Guardians - 2 Bright Lances, Warlock
- 10 Guardians - 2 Bright Lances, Warlock
- 10 Guardians - 2 Bright Lances, Warlock

Auxiliary Choice: Wraith Constructs
- Wraithknight - Ghostglaive and Scattershield

Command Choice: Living Legends
- Avatar

Command Choice: Seer Council
- Farseer - Spirit Stone of Anath'Lan, Singing Spear
- Farseer - Singing Spear
- 5 Warlocks - 3 Singing Spears

I popped out the Crimson Hunter and Autarch to put more focus on the Guardians. Since there's no Flyer, the Autarch's reserve roll manipulation wasn't needed, and his Fearless bonus is now provided by the Avatar, to every unit within 12" rather than a single unit. The Guardians and seer council are a bit more mobile now thanks to the Guaranteed 6" battle focus, and your guardians have more damage output overall. Unfortunately, the Pale Courts host has no slot for Scatbikes, so you've lost some objective control there. You'd likely need to change the list up a bit for tournaments, since they usually only allow 1 LoW.
