It's a pretty simple list, nothing to 'amazing' but it should still be something pretty fun to actually play.
One thing I was considering was dropping both Curtus dreads in favour of 2 bare-bones tactical squads, but I was iffy on that route. Any C&C for going against 'generic' lists?

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field. |

I really like this list, I would consider dropping the mortars and Thallax to get something with a higher volume of fire.

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator

Thanks! The mortars are really there to try and stall infantry/take out vehicles a bit more effectively than the autocannons, but I can see the value in dropping them. As to the Thallax, I think their mobility would be pretty helpful in a list as slow as this one: at least they pop lighter AT squads, at most they hop into a combat with mortarion to help him, if need be.
What would you suggest putting in in their stead?

That sounds solid. I was thinking maybe a Heavy Bolter squad or 2.

Don't do Legacy. You give your opponent extra VPs for every Dread killed.
You can still field that list by moving all your Troop Dreads to Elites (you can take 4 Elites).
Mortarion and DS are cool but expensive.
What about a Deredeo and a second Leviathan instead?

DS are remarkably cheap, actually (being only 10-points more than a generic terminator ) And mortarion's mobility makes him decent at popping AT units before they can cause too much damage.
I agree on the fury of the Ancients, but it's more for the theme. Problem with not running it means spending a minimum of 300 points on tactical marines
In larger point games, I'd go whole-hog and field all 3 of my leviathans + my deredo and another contemptor, but with this I want it to remain fun to play and at least passable to play against.
