Friend and I having a 'bring as nasty list game' tomorrow and this is what I'm trying out:

Gating, Sacnturary buffed and also benefitting from whatever else I can get with the 'Conclave, the meat of the army is in a no scattering grav star that should be night on impossible to kill. Scouts for a bit of infiltration and a support squadron to pelt the enemy with heavy bolters and missiles whilst sitting in cover with Shrouded. etc.

I don't think you'll get much value out of the Ravenwing Support Squad. Replace that with units that fill in the centstar's weaknesses: Competing for objectives across the rest of the board. Maybe Tactical Squads within Drop Pods for Objective Secured.

Yeah I considered this, but the 'speeders do have +6" to their movement which i felt would help me rush for obs. I might see what I can do though.

singular "objective". All four models must stay as one vehicle squadron. Individual Land Speeders are fast enough on their own, but not durable.

If you're not going to use a DA-specific unit, why take the DA allied detachment at all? Just take what you need in your Iron Hands detachment, and save points by not having to take the DA HQ.

The DA is there for Belial, who doesn't scatter when arriving by deep strike (so that you can use Draigo to Gate of Infinity the deathstar about the board).
