I like it.

Is the Archon just plain? I would seriously consider giving him a blaster and putting him in one of the Trueborn squads (and droping one trueborn and adding one warrior)

This would give you 3 troops that can focus on objectives, two really powerful anti-tank units and decent balance.

This is also a very fast army, the only other thing I would tell you to think about is removing one of the trueborn squads and putting in a ravager (at 1k or less I find them very valuable).

Hey Zabio, how do you do?
From what i've learned playing DE, at 1000 pts you are going to struggle.
you have 5 targets on the board, paperthin (considering how easy is today to deny cover...) and not so hard hitting.
Also, the two main threats of the list (trueborns) will just be priority targets and maybe able to shoot once before dying.

I suggest this changes
(using Realspace Raiders detachment)

Archon, webway portal, Blaster (110)
deepstrikes with

4 Grotesques
liquefier gun
Raider, disintegrator (210)

5 Warriors
blaster
Venom, dual cannon
(120)

5 Warriors
blaster
Venom, dual cannon
(120)

5 Scourges
4 heat lances

4 haywire blasters

7 Reavers, 2 caltrops

This gives you more smaller targets, also adds variety to your antitank capabilities (haywire, blasters, melee with Str 5-6) and adds a melee unit (grotesques) to be supported by the reavers. About the Flyier, i've always found that at 1000 pts the razorwing is sub-par. too many points for a thing that has almost no antitank and just brings some antihorde (which you alredy have, at 1000 pts), also might not show up until 3rd turn.

This is my two cents. What do you think?

Well thank for the quick reply.
for siege 40k, i use the archon plain in a normal squad but its a good idea to put it with trueborn.
And Nefernet can you explain, why giving the blaster to the warrior ? i will try this change during the next game.

I found out to my detriment that big squads of warrior in raiders are prone to be: shaken and thus snapshooting, die from flamers and thus shoot less, die when raider explodes and thus not shoot or even pinned and thus snapshooting, engaged by walkers and thus dying.... also, if you are at 24", those 10 rerollable shardrifle shots will be...well, pesky. If you are at 12" those 20 shots will hurt something, but you are doing it wrong, you are too close, hence you are dead even to 5 space marines and a flamer guy. Also, what if enemy infantry is hiding in rhinos os something? you just have 155 pts of squishy guys sitting idly with no targets. 8the raider will be jinking, trust me...hence snapshooting!)
Therefore, i've begun to field warriors in small, fast and tactically flexible small teams. Blaster is there to counter any enemy walker / transport. Volume of antiinfantry fire is provided by "built-in" Venom transport. 1000 pts are maybe too few to use them properly, but at 1500 you want 2 more of those squads. they will work togheter, gang upon tougher enemies and grab an helluvalot of objective points. They also present smaller, cheaper targets and can reliably disembark and hide in some ruins. Is your opponet willing to shoot 60 pts of warriors, while reavers and grotesques are running at his face? I bet not. And there's the trick: they are overlooked and still do their stuff: take objectives and harass the enemy.

I thought Trueborn were a minimum of 5 to a squad, so you can't put the Archon with them and keep them in a Venom...

I like 5 man min squads of kabalites with a blaster and even a sybarite with a haywire grenade over trueborn, As stated trueborn are going to be priority targets whereas kabi with a haywire and blaster can down a priority target vehicle pretty quickly. If they go for on foot, great 2 splinter cannons at range should finish them quite nicely and not put your warriors at any undue risk.

Crispy, it's been a bit since I looked, in the past they could be smaller than 5..

If not, blasterborn in a raider with an archon might be ok, or with WWP?

Just a thought. I used to play de a ton but it has been a long time.
