I absolutely love the old Blood Bowl minis from around the second edition era. I have quite a few of them from when I used to play the game, over 20 years ago now. As I've recently got back into painting (and actually learned how to do it a bit) I thought I'd paint up a few of them.

Here are the Champions of Death. A couple of these are really badly painted, as I painted them only a few weeks into the rekindling of my interest in the hobby!

And here are a couple of individual players. The first is a Star Player (the mini is Galmen Goreblade, but I've not painted it as him.) I was trying to get a few different textures on him - shiny black leather gloves, matte cloth, and weathered metal armour.



This one is an ork blocker. The idea here was to create a slightly unusual ork skin tone, and some nicely weathered armour.



Rear view to check out the weathering on the elbows, and dat ass.

Very nice. If you are ever near Bugman's Bar, my high elves would happily join them on the field.
