Hi guys! Me and my brother are looking at the start collecting kits. I want Tau and he wants Khorne Daemons. It just seems really unbalanced though because my Tau are all fire power and his units seem squishy. Is it actually balanced? If not how can we balance it. Thanks!

The Khorne daemons starter is not quite as much of an army, as it lacks a formation (it was intended for AoS, not 40k), and indeed its not very dominating on the battlefield.

The size is too small to properly benefit from blood tithe, blood crushers are a poor unit in general and the CC edge that khorne has is practically irrelevant against tau, as they suck so hard in CC that most anything would eradicate them there anyway.

Now, if he forgos the blood throne and instead builds a separate herald and cannon from it (the kit is also the cannon kit, and you'll have a leftover herald with no base if you build a cannon), it will be slightly less noticeable, as the cannon can put some hurt on the tau forces, but as a whole it is a very bad match-up for khorne.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.
