Hello all!

I have been looking into playing Warhammer 30k. I have looked over the Legion Astartes book and the Extermination book( I am fond of the Iron Warriors).

I like many noobs find myself lost in what is good and what is not. I base most of what i like based on looks of the models. Any tips would be great but here is a list of things.

here is a list of models I am interested in.

Siege Breachers
Tyrant termies
Iron havocs
destroyer squads

I gave you a chance of aiding me willingly, but youve elected a way of pain.

I guess the most obvious thing (and one that many people will repeat) is that 30k is much more balanced than 40k - pretty much every unit has a use and there aren't half a codex worth of crappy choices like in 40k!

Of course, there are better combinations that others, but if you build a pretty well rounded force you have a pretty good chance of winning a game.

Generally, 20 man Tac squads, tooled up Praetors, Spartan tanks and taking advantage of your Legion's Rite of War are all considered good things!

Iron Within!
The destroyers are great but i wouldnt use them unless i loved the models as the rules wont do that much for you in most cases.
Breachers are basically just more expensive tac squads but they can be fantastic for iron warriors.
As for Havocs and Tyrants, take as many as you possibly can as they are the most fun you can possibly have with a heavy support option.
