So I started playing 40k again last year, and have quickly fallen in love with the scion faction, partly because of the models and partly because I love the idea of small elite units without having to play eldar or marines. This list is planned for use for anupcomkng tournament
Comp being roughly: 1 CAD, only 1 detachment, 1 LOW yes to FW but no 30k.

So I have played this list a few times and genarally I feel it plays well against most opponents, my biggest fear being flying MC the thunder fire cannons being there to help dig out troops with a 2+ re rollable cover as I know there will be some DA present and maybe some tau ghost runners, the scions being able to deal with most armour and elite troops especially if ther running SM MSU.

Thank you for any feedback but the scions for me are a must take, anything you hate about the SM you can tell me

What exactly are the army construction rules? Can you take two Combined Arms Detachments? Or one CAD and an Allied Detachment? The aerial assault formation is fun, but tempestus may be most effective as deep striking Objective Secured MSU.

Unfortunately it is 1 CAD and up to 1 Formation, and as I lack AA in my marines it was scions or tau to make it up.
