A random thought - with the new TIE Bomber title - is that you can now pack in 5 crew-carrying fighters.

Now obviously, the problem with a TIE Bomber is its two-dice primary attack - that aside it's pretty tough for its cost and its dial, whilst not great, is certainly not bad - it has barrel roll, a K-tun (and a nice long one) and a white hard turn, so it can cope with a dogfight. Ish.

The first thought is a simple analogue to the old Rebel "Panic Attack" - 4 B-wings with the B-wing/E title and Tacticians. In this case you can field 5, giving you nearly the same durability (2 less hit points, but significantly better agility). The firepower suffers (5 2-dice attacks are not the equal of 4 3-dice attacks against agile targets), but with an extra ship, and arc, they're probably even more dangerous as a stress swarm.

You can take 5 x Gamma Squadron Pilot, TIE Shuttle, Tactician for exactly 100 points.

Alternatively, dropping to Scimitars gives you a lot more points to play with, and mixing and matching crew will probably give you better capability in practice. you can get 4 points of crew per ship - enough for some nice combinations. It does drop you below the magic PS3 where you have to put up with being torpedoed a lot, though.

Darth Vader is a nice easy call for one - suddenly making the bomber able to hurt Soontir Fel types. At least, it can once, maybe twice. But a Scimitar with <5 points of upgrades is essentially a one-shot weapon anyway, isn't it?
Mara Jade + Intelligence Agent makes for a very annoying blocker.
Tactician + Systems Officer is a nice one for two or more 'wingmen' - essentially turning them into a mini-howlrunner-swarm as they hand one another target locks.

Any other options spring to mind? Agent Kallus isn't exactly expensive but I doubt you'll throw enough dice to really justify him. Still, it leaves the bomber free to barrel roll or target lock when engaging its preferred opponent.

My first draft of an Imperial version of Panic Attack, needs some work but Stress plus Ion is in theory lots of funs

Deathrain” - TIE Punisher
Fire-Control System, Extra Munitions, Flechette Torpedoes, Conner Net, Guidance Chips

Omicron Group Pilot - Lambda-Class Shuttle
Fire-Control System, Ion Cannon, Tactician

Scimitar Squadron Pilot #1 TIE Bomber
TIE Shuttle, Tactician

Scimitar Squadron Pilot #2 TIE Bomber
TIE Shuttle,Tactician

From my game this week I learnt that bombers are kind of squishy so you should run them as light a possible
