I know I can use the Sicaran tank in 40k, but where do I find the actual rule allowing me to do so?

Is it in the main rule book, IA books? If I recall correctly, I have to take a MotF in order to take more than one...

Thanks!

You'll want IA Volume 2, Second Edition

Description

Imperial Armour Volume Two – Second Edition: War Machines of the Adeptus Astartes is a 256 page full colour hardback book which provides you with rules to use the large range of Forge World Space Marine armoured vehicles, flyers and artillery in your games of Warhammer 40,000.

Included within this brand new edition are profiles and rules for over 30 vehicles, from specialised variants of the mighty Land Raider to the heavily armed Thunderhawk Gunship, alongside extensive background material on the war machines of the Space Marines, their tactics and manufacture. The book includes Legacies of Glory, special upgrades that mark your vehicle as a truly ancient and honoured veteran of the wars that heralded the Age of the Imperium, rules for relic vehicles such as the Sicaran Battle Tank, and the vehicles used by the zealous Battle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas, as well as those seconded to the service of the agents of the dreaded Inquisition.

In addition to this wealth of information, Imperial Armour Volume Two – Second Edition presents extensive details on the paint schemes and markings used by the Space Marines of the Adeptus Astartes.

In order to use this book, you will need the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook and the relevant Codex for your army. To use certain units, you will need the Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse expansion.

I think some of the various downloadable rules from FW also have it.

Check my signature for the FW downloads page!

There are a few tanks on there, but not the Sicaran Tank, sadly.

Ah, I see they've removed a few downloads since I last remember looking. There were other vehicles that had the Relic of the Armory rule that were there, but I see they're all gone now.

Ok - so again just trying to understand how this works.

I read the relics rule from IA2 and see if I take more than one relic, I have to include a MotF.

What's the best way to include Sicaran tanks into my Battle Company Formation?

Or will I have to abandon the BC Formation and just run an open CAD and include the Tech so I can just add the Sicarans directly to the list?

Try searching via Google. A number of PDFs no longer have links on the FW page, but are still available on their servers.

None of the Forge World models may be used In any of the formations for C:SM yet. I would wait for whenever they release the Red scorpions + admech vs tau book before we see any Marien formations that include Forge World vehicles.

So I would have to run them as an allied detachment or unbound?

I believe the sicaran tank takes up a heavy support choice. So If you are running formations only you are SoL, but if you run a detachment, something that gives you a FoC, then you can drop one into a heavy slot.

Yes you will have to run them in a allied detachment if you don't want to drop the battle company. Else you drop the battle company and build your list with a detachment that has a FoC.

Thank you. I have been trying to figure out a legal way to get it done but for now it looks like I will run my sicaran as Dakka Preds.
