what if there was a thing held by GW where people basically could show their original color schemes with a bit of info about their armies, and some people at white dwarf or something take a few of the best ones and said armies get some very minor canon recognition. Might be fun and I certainly think it'd be cool to see gw do some community stuff that impacts the lore again.

That's a fantastic idea. Just a color plate and paragraph of fluff. Could be a rotating monthly feature. This month Marine Chapters from the fringe, next month Eldar raider Kabals etc...

I think so although my memory is a bit hazy.

You would see some very nicely painted armies.
