Going for an unending horde list that I can use for some 40k Skavengers. Using the Vraks Unending Horde Detachment with R&H from IA 13, here's what we have:
1850 Pts - IA: Renegades and Heretics (IA13) Roster

: Vraks Renegade Unending Host Detachment
4 Renegade Command Squad, 65 pts
1 Arch-Demagogue (Master of the Horde; Warlord) Tzeentch Covenant (For Spawns)

TROOPS : 1 Renegade Infantry Platoon, 210 pts
10 Platoon Command Squad
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x3)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x3)

TROOPS: 1 Renegade Infantry Platoon, 300 pts
10 Platoon Command Squad
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x3)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x3)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x3)

TROOPS: 3 Renegade Chaos Spawn, 55 pts
TROOPS: 3 Renegade Chaos Spawn, 55 pts
TROOPS: 3 Renegade Chaos Spawn, 55 pts

ELITES: 6 Renegade Ogryn Brutes, 445 pts (Dedicated to Khorne)
1 Packmaster

HEAVY SUPPORT: 1 Renegade Heavy Ordnance Battery, 160 pts (Medusa Siege Cannon)
1 Artillery Carriage (Medusa Siege Cannon)
4 Renegade Crew (Sub-Flak Armour)
1 Artillery Carriage (Medusa Siege Cannon)
4 Renegade Crew (Sub-Flak Armour)

LORD OF WAR: 1 Renegade Baneblade Super-heavy Tank, 510 pts (2 x Sponsons; Lascannon x2; Twin-Linked Heavy Bolter x2; Pintle-mounted Heavy Stubber; Militia Training)

The infantry squads come back on a 2+, stuff behind them gets a 3+ cover save, and the troops will come back outflanking. What are everyones thoughts?

PS: Just realized I'd need 2 more compulsory troops choices... I'm thinking min'd out veteran squads?

Night Lord XIII Company: 6,600 Points, 12W-4L
Skaven Cheese-stealer Renegade Cult: 2,000 points, 0-0
Warboss Spine Squisha's Ork Warband: 3,000 Points, 1W-3L
Carcharadons Astra: 2000 Points, 11-2
Drukhari: 1250 Points, 2-0

You can't take Covenant of Tzeentch in Vraks Renegades (IA13 renegades and Vraks renegades are separate armies)

I think it has been debatable whether IA13 can use Unending Host, due to wording of the rules. I'd allow it, there are no specific covenant restrictions on the detachment either, unlike the Purge.

Unending Host says its a detachment for Renegades of Vraks. What's debatable about that?

Pretty sure it just says it's a detachment for Chaos Renegades, which would allow it to be used for IA 13 as well. Not that the list really includes anything not in Vraks...

Covenant of Tzeentch is not in Vraks that's my point. And yes it does specify Renegades of Vraks, im looking right at it.

My apologies, I evidently cannot read. Reset the list to 100% Vraks to make it Legal, what do we think?

Vraks Renegade Unending Host Detachment (Primary Detachment) (127 models, 1850 pts)
HQ: 4 Renegade Command Squad, 55 pts
1 Arch-Demagogue (Master of the Horde; Warlord)

TROOPS: 1 Renegade Infantry Platoon, 225 pts
15 Platoon Command Squad (Plasma gun x2)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x2)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x2)

TROOPS: 1 Renegade Infantry Platoon, 225 pts
15 Platoon Command Squad (Plasma gun x2)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x2)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Plasma gun x2)

TROOPS: 5 Renegade Infantry Veterans, 115 pts (Scout; Meltagun x1)
1 Chimera (Heavy Flamer)

TROOPS: 5 Renegade Infantry Veterans, 115 pts (Scout; Meltagun x1)
1 Chimera (Heavy Flamer)

ELITES: 6 Renegade Ogryn Brutes, 400 pts (Carapace Armour; Lascutter)

ELITES: 3 Renegade Chaos Spawn, 55 pts

HEAVY SUPPORT: 1 Renegade Heavy Ordnance Battery, 160 pts (Medusa Siege Cannon)
1 Artillery Carriage (Medusa Siege Cannon)
4 Renegade Crew (Sub-Flak Armour)
1 Artillery Carriage (Medusa Siege Cannon)
4 Renegade Crew (Sub-Flak Armour)

LORD OF WAR: 1 Renegade Baneblade Super-heavy Tank, 500 pts (2 x Sponsons; Lascannon x2; Twin-Linked Heavy Bolter x2; Militia Training)

Now with the list fully legal, I'm overall liking what I see. Only thing I wonder is if I should take away the Chimeras, and go for another Medusa Gun instead...

Any suggestions?

Your infantry squads' set up is pretty bleh. Plasma guns on a squad of "-" save and BS2 is pretty lousy since you won't hit often and will die the instant your gun Gets Hot all while still playing the expensive 15 points every other army pays (seriously giving a model a Plasma Gun made its price go up 6x over). If your going the gun route you really should give them militia training (it makes them 50% more accurate) and go for other special weapons (like meltas or flamers). Also you could go up to 20 and get 2 Heavy Weapons Teams in there and shoot at range. If you really want to keep the squads cheap then go the CCW route since ws2 still hits most things on 4+ and then just give them Krak Grenades and a Chaos Sigil (the Vraks version is different from the IA13 sigil so look up the difference it's still good).

Also you really do lack real anti tank. All you really have is the Baneblade's two lascannons, its pie plates, and the two medusas. That's alright but blast can only do a single hit so you you will be struggling to kill vehicles (and MCs also) quickly since you'll only do about 3 HPs a turn (and that if they aren't getting cover or something). I know Unending Host doesn't have a lot of FOCs but you can take a second detachment like a CAD or the Purge to get the Heavy Support slots needed to suport your army with units like Rapier Laser Destroyers, Support Weapon Teams, mor Artillery Carriages, or Leman Russes.

Also Renegade Ogryns suck hard. Like not only are they the worst unit in the army, but they are one of the worst units in the game. You are paying 400 pts for 6 models, thats almost the price of a baneblade. That's absurd . They are slow, do bad damage for the price and aren't even hard to kill since they only have 4+ armor (after paying for it).Drop them to make up the points for the second detachment and flesh out your infantry more.

The rules contradict themselves a bit, first it says Vraks only in the summary, then in the actual restrictions stated in the rules says Chaos Renegades Faction only.

Thanks for your input Crownaxe! I can't drag myself completely away from Ogryns, since I seriously wanna convert some, but your other points were well taken. Realizing I could add in the purge helped widen my options a chunk, I think I mostly fixed the Anti-tank problem now:

1850 Pts - IA: Renegades of Vraks (IA5) Roster

: Vraks Renegade Unending Host Detachment (Primary Detachment) (136#, 1510 pts)
HQ: 4 Renegade Command Squad, 55 pts
1 Arch-Demagogue (Master of the Horde; Warlord)
TROOPS: 1 Renegade Infantry Platoon, 180 pts
20 Platoon Command Squad
20 Renegade Infantry Squad
20 Renegade Infantry Squad
TROOPS: 1 Renegade Infantry Platoon, 165 pts
15 Platoon Command Squad (Krak Grenades)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Krak Grenades)
15 Renegade Infantry Squad (Krak Grenades)
TROOPS: 5 Renegade Infantry Veterans, 115 pts (Scout; Meltagun x1)
1 Chimera (Heavy Flamer)
TROOPS: 5 Renegade Infantry Veterans, 115 pts (Scout; Meltagun x1)
1 Chimera (Heavy Flamer)
ELITES: 3 Renegade Ogryn Brutes, 220 pts (Carapace Armour; Lascutter)
HEAVY SUPPORT: 1 Renegade Heavy Ordnance Battery, 160 pts (Medusa Siege Cannon)
1 Artillery Carriage (Medusa Siege Cannon)
4 Renegade Crew (Sub-Flak Armour)
1 Artillery Carriage (Medusa Siege Cannon)
4 Renegade Crew (Sub-Flak Armour)
LORD OF WAR: 1 Renegade Baneblade Super-heavy Tank, 500 pts (2 x Sponsons; Lascannon x2; Twin-Linked Heavy Bolter x2; Militia Training)
1 Vraks Renegade Unending Host Detachment (Primary Detachment), 0 pts (Slaves to Darkness; Unending Horde; In Number Uncounted; Over the Corpses of the Slain; Til the Guns Run Dry)

: The Purge Detachment (25#, 340 pts)
HQ: 1 Renegade Enforcers Cadre, 25 pts
1 Enforcer
HEAVY SUPPORT: 3 Renegade Rapier Laser Destroyer Battery, 70 pts (Militia Training)
3 Renegade Crew (Militia Training)
HEAVY SUPPORT: 2 Renegade Rapier Laser Destroyer Battery, 50 pts (Militia Training)
2 Renegade Crew (Militia Training)
HEAVY SUPPORT 4 Renegade Support Squad, 85 pts (Militia Training; Missile Launcher x4)
ELITES: 3 Renegade Chaos Spawn, 55 pts
ELITES: 3 Renegade Chaos Spawn, 55 pts
1 The Purge Detachment, 0 pts (Pledged to Nurgle; Slaves to Darkness; Forbidden Munitions; Salt the Earth)

So I dropped special weapons because you're right, even if I get the unit back from unending host, it's an absurd points cost. I stacked the one platoon up to 20 man squads, and left it bare bones, then gave the 'assault platoon' Krak grenades. Added the purge detachment to get some extra spanw, 2 Laser Rapier Batteries, and a Support squad of 4 missile launchers.

I'm wondering if the Missile launchers would go better in the 20 man squads, but I kinda feel like they're more flexible outside the squad.

How do you think it's looking, 'waste of points' in the Ogryns aside?
