Subject: Looking to get into AoS and wondered what daemon models crossover with 40k?

Hi all,
I've been playing 40k for a few years now but been incredibly tempted by the new AoS models coming out at the moment. Used to play fantasy when I was a kid so I'm keen to get back on the horse.
I understand that some of the chaos daemon models crossover between AoS and 40k and I was interested in exploring which do with the aim of building an army that can be used for both games. My current knowledge of chaos daemons isn't particularly good so I'm completely open to suggestions.
If anyone has some tips they would be greatly valued!
Cheers!

That is what I was going to say. Bonus is, now you don't have to worry about bases now either. They are all round.

Yep. I got crushed two weeks ago by a guy's 40k bloodletter army. Up to that point, we hadn't played with any army that had summoning.
I am glad to say that the new General's Handbook is rumored to fix that little issue. My buddy is less likely to be as happy as it reportedly will put the brakes on free-for-all summoning party
Still very useful, I'm told, but not a free fountain of neverending reinforcements.

Yeah that makes sense. The summoning rule had got a little ridiculous so I've heard!
Excited sounds like Chaos may be the way to go. Anyone got any tips on how each demon's forces play? Like I said im new to demons so just trying to pick which God to focus on. I'm inclined to go Korne because I think the bloodthirster models are awesome - but I'm willing to hear the merits of each.

Can't speak to Khorne or Slaanesh, but Nurgle hit like a wet sock and refuse to die. Tzeentch the polar opposite.

That speaks of the persons character more than the rules though. To me the saying goes, do guns kill or people kill? Just because the rules right now lets you do unlimited summoning, doesn't mean you have to be a donkey cave and do it.
It's funny how plastic crack makes us crazy. We can be perfectly great people but when it comes to plastic crack it brings the worse out of us.

If it had been an ambiguous rule and he kept pushing for infinite summoning, then I'd agree with you. He is a competitive guy but he tries to follow the rules very closely.
I don't begrudge him for wanting to go 100 miles/hour because the gauge needle said it would. In this case, the army list and/or the rules need to address summoning---and apparently the General's Handbook will do just that.

Can't speak for others, but I found Nurgle to be fun to play with the new rules, so that's where I'd go. Plus they're the best looking daemons
