I'm just modelling a unit of grey knight paladins and the wording in the codex says:

For every five models in the unit, two Paladins may take items from the Terminator Special Weapons list.

So if i have a 3/4 man squad how many special weapons can i take?

Grey Knights - 3500pts
SKitarii - 4000pts
Ad mech - 2000pts
Imperial Knights - 1000pts
Black Templars - 3200pts
Genestealer cults - 1750

I would think one, but if no rule is given you may have to go with none. is a 3 man squad even allowed?

Thinks Palladium books screwed the pooch on the Robotech project.

If that's what it says, then the way I read that is as follows:

If you wish to take special weapons, you must have at least 5 terminators in the squad. If you have at least 5 terminators in the squad, up to 2 of them may have special weapons.

If you wish to have 3 or 4 special weapons, you must have 10 terminators in the squad. If you have 10 terminators in the squad, up to 4 of them may have special weapons.

A good tool is battlescribe.

Zero, you need five models to unlock the first two, ten models to unlock the second two.

None. For every FIVE you can give special weapons to two models. You have three or four. At no point do you reach five.

Seems like a daft way of writing it.

Looks like a 5 man squad with 2 incinerators it is, cheers guys.

Imperial Knights - 1000pts
Black Templars - 3200pts

It's not daft, the goal is so you can't take minimum squads and spam special weapons.

Doesn't seem daft to me. How else can you write it that's better?

None. For every FIVE men you can take a special weapon.

Ultra-Ultramarines are a great idea.
