Hey there. Kitbashing a space marine army and looking at many options for different models etc. One thing I've been head scratching around slightly is Thubderfire Cannons. Not a massive fan of the models and Id be doing he gunners in the theme of my army anyway, so the price is not ideal. Been thinking about getting a box of Kataphron Destroyers and bashing them up to be TFCs. Maybe with the missile launcher from the Land Speeder kit. Anyone have any experience of this approach? Or other kitbashing adventures with TFCs you might like to share?

Others may not agree with my sentiment, but as far as I'm concerned, as long as it is fairly close in measurement to the stock model and looks like some sort of cannon (as the name infers) whatever you do should be fine.
