You might have heard that most of the trials in Silver Tower are on the easy side. Umm, yeah. We just got TPK'd on the first (beginner's) trial.

I don't think we are very good at this game...

I almost 1-shotted the Gaunt Summoner when he randomly showed up on our second trial. Nearly ended the campaign there and then

That does not end you the campaign
Until you have all fragments , all apearances of the summoner is merely an illusion

The way we play at our GW store is we keep using the same character until that character has gotten all the fragments.

But if you play with 4 people and use the exotic creatures, whew lads, it gets scare, I remember in one game we filled up the whole first room with tzengors and acolytes and got an unexpected event that launched me to the roof and stunned me, and we had not stepped into the room yet.

To many unpainted models to count.

We've integrated silver tower into our map / narrative campaign and the fragments have different effects.

That being said, I do find the game to be a bit too easy most of the time... but its still a lot of fun.

If you use the exotic creatures it gets REALLY hard really fast

It can be unforgiving lol. I've just tried the Realm of Ghyran trial with my brother. We fought the Ogroid and his 4 of his Tzaangor buddies in a room that has these mushrooms you have to smash otherwise the spores they emit can heal them. The Ogroid Thaumaturge trampled us to death lol.

Also- which characters did you use for the Trial of Hysh, Matt?

The guys took the Slaughterpriest and Skink Starpriest. I went with the Doomseeker (my willingness to take damage beyond the ability of the Slaughterpriest to heal might have been the pebble that ended in the avalanche of our TPK ).

Heh. Did Mr. Ogroid Thaumaturge and his Tzaangor buddies turn up then? Or was it the immensely badass Librarian Pink Horror that murderised you?

I can't speak for the exotic creatures, as I don't have any of the models. But they look nasty rules wise!

I'm guessing it's much more difficult with 3 or 4 players from the sound of things. 2 players doesn't seem to be all that bad. But as I said, the Realm of Ghyran was unforgiving to say the least lol.

It was a combination of monsters building up, but probably the arrival of the Skaven that started the fall...

Ah I see... we have four players. That is why it seems so easy.

You guys are running 2 or 3 players? I can see where that may be more difficult.

I don't really think it's "easy". It can seem that way though if you're lucky with your destiny phase or exploration cards.

Well... we've managed to go through the whole thing without losing once. But thats because with four of us we can gang up on the biggest threats and things like the elf having that stun power which denies enemies the ability to do anything to us, the outcome was never really in question.

You also probably don't have players who are actively countering one another's actions
