I mean I suppose that kinda falls into Slannesh's domain but Nurgle is like the weird stoner friendlyish god who has a garden and gives people "gifts" of diseases and corruption.

Besides I dont thin pleasure always equals drugs or vice versa, esspecailly sense i would describe weed's effects as more calming then "pleasureful"

Okay, there's a definite argument to be made for Nurgle, but here's what it boils down to:

#1 - Are you using the drugs to experience things differently or more intensely? That's Slannesh.

#2 - Are you using the drugs to avoid experiencing anything at all? That's Nurgle.

I do play Deathguard as my main army by I also have Renegades and Heretics: Servants of Decay (Nurgle specific renegade militia) and Nurgle Daemons, I also have a side Necron Army
And finally i wouldn't say I'm hardcore at all but I do like playing and leagues and tournaments and have done so in the past and I'm currently in an escalation league and probably doing a few tournaments in the near future.

Pretty much all drugs make you experience things differently or more intensely, and none really make you feel nothing save for large amounts of some opiots and alcohol.

Are you trying to say Slannesh = Uppers, Nurgle = Downers? Cause I can get behind that distinction.

Orks? What... I dont think ive ever meet a Ork Player that did smoke weed. And I have meet ALOT of 40k players that smoke weed, many that do it frequently.
And Ive meet like at least 5 ork players, which is definitively more than I expected.

People usually equate Nurgle to Stoners because they are both weirdly chill for what category their in, like most other Daemons are WAY less chill, just like alot of users of other drugs are WAY less chill.

Like Nurgle just doesn't give a feth about anything, he just wants to spread disease and corruption and he does it by giving people "gifts" and making them his sons and he even has his own garden.

Stoners dont give a feth about anything when their high, which is most of the time, and enjoy giving people gifts and a certain odd type of gardening, just like Nurgle.

Na there might be a slight connection between the kind of army and the kind of guy you most likely are. There is some sort of value of the generalisations made by marketing research people.

Here are some of my observations.
The WOI & II stuff collectors tend to play IG more.
The clean tournament minded players tend to play Eldar, Tau and SM more.
The exmilitary guys tend to play SM more.
The girlfriend who only plays because her boyfriend plays tends to play Eldar, Dark eldar and Tyranids more.
Converters tend to play orks & chaos more.
But I dont have seen any connection between drug usage and army at all.

Note this isn't based on any scientific research at all purely based on my limited amount of observations and I would never dare to reverse those above statements.

Yeah, as a frequent Daemons player myself, I've never partook and I don't see the point of this thread.

Sorta, but not. Remember, the Chaos Gods are beings of emotion. They feed off the feelings of the galaxy's (universe's?) inhabitants. Slannesh is driven simply to FEEL. Any powerful emotion performed for the sake of feeling that emotion feeds Slannesh, hence when Slannesh also attracts artists and gluttons rather than just fleshy stuff. If you take drugs in order to feel the experience, then that'd feed Slannesh, regardless of whether the drugs are Uppers or Downers. Generally, the Uppers will likely be preferred, but it's possible to get addicted to any sensation (no chemically addicted, but behaviourly addicted).

Nurgle, on the other hand, is about Depression and Hopelessness. Nurgle's always smiling, but it's a grotesque mockery of his own servants whom he "loves". I think Nurgle is also strongly about jealousy, as there are few emotions as powerful as the envy and jealousy you feel when you think things are terrible, and you wish terrible things to happen to those around you. That's what Nurgle is about. The junkie that does drugs in order to escape his or her own life, because who cares, the world is hollow and terrible anyways, that's the kind of emotion that feeds Nurgle. Yes, Nurgle loves his followers, but they dedicate themselves to him because he offers them escape from the physical pains and the opportunity to bring down those that his followers believe have wronged them.

Khorne's followers might also do drugs, though likely ones that aid them in battle or drive them into greater frenzies.

Tzeentch's followers might do drugs as well in a pursuit to open their mind to the possibilities, or perhaps twist it, as only the insane can understand the insane.

I dunno, i have a stoner ork friend. sure he may take a while to paint, but he has some of the craziest painted stuff. and crazy scratch builds that look amazing.

he suddenly gets inspired and gets a gak load of stuff done.

I think I may be the only stoner amongst my gaming group. My one buddy will take a toke every now and then but thats it.

And like what desubot says, I'll go long periods of time without painting, suddenly be inspired and paint an entire army over the course of a few weeks.
