I play a grot army and while it's only a 1000 point list I'd like a nice model to be the warlord but I've no idea which one to go for, any ideas? He can be a big mek, warboss or weirdboy type just want something cool looking

I would say Convert a Killa Kan so that it is Smaller and can fit on a 40mm Base, then add weapons ect to make it what you want (warboss, big mek)
As for sticking him on a bike? (If you wanted to)
I would say add a jetpack on his back and have him lean forward as if he was activating it, but the Killa Kan is too heavy so he can only use it go faster

if you are feeling fancy you could go for the red gobbo
(warning those things are getting expensive these days )

Never mind "getting expensive" is no where near the price GW asks for their current HQ ranges. So you could say its a steal ;_)

As a base for my gobbo HQs, I used the models from the fantasy "Knoblar" models who are standing on each others shoulders. Then I kitbashed them with whatever weaponry/heads they would need to denote their station. The weirdboy has little wizard hats and a stick, the warboss has two power klaws and a big slugga carried between both hands plus gretchin heads with helmets.

I did buy those two bodies on bits sites tho, I don't like the knoblars as gretchin they look too different.

The master blaster idea seems pretty cool, have a gobbo perched on the back of some larger creature

At the moment I'm thinking of the drycha model and switching her out with a grot

Jup told ya that drycha idea is 2x as expensive as the higher ebay cost versions of the red gobbo
