Subject: Stripping Paint - Purple Power vs Simple Green
Is one better than the other here? I've used purple power before..was able to strip nearly everything off the models twice before deciding on a paint scheme. Purple power I can get locally..simple green I would have to make a trip to get.

Just buy Isopropyl alcohol (ispropanol) with 99% concentration and save yourself a lot time. Simple green from the two chemicals you pointed out consists Isopropyl and this is actually what makes the paint dissolve.

I just used some simple green to strip a model. I let it sit overnight then scrubbed it with an old toothbrush. I hear purple power is better if you want instant results.
