Strategy
-Alpha strike the hell out of something with grav devs.
-Tie up two units with the Assault Marines.
-Roll a 6 on the Curse of the Wulfen table to get the 24" move.
-Wolf Lord would join the TWC. Grey Hunters will go after objectives or try to be relevant somehow.

Would really like to hear feedback on this list. Pros, Cons..all that good stuff.

I'd drop one Thunderwolf and buy a Rhino for each of the Grey Hunters units. Grey Hunters on foot will probably get to most objectives by turn 3 on a Dawn of War or Vanguard table but will struggle in Hammer and Anvil.
Also, if you're playing Maelstrom objective priority changes so you want to be able to load them up and get to another objective quick smart.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Thank you for the input.

BAM excellent suggestion, Dakka Wolf.

A shame to not load up the GH's with a melta or something...

Going ALL shields on the TWC may be a bit much, guess it depends on who you play against...
Having a pair of Fenrisian Wolves to go with the Wolf Lord in the TWC unit will help deal with instant death shots (by Look Out Sir'ing them when they hit - just be sure to have them base to base if you want the Character to roll and allocate the shot to them).

*technically* you don't need to equip each model with Frag Launchers in the Wulfen, one Frag Launcher applies UNIT wide...

Having the Deepstrike-then-CC squads means getting to where you want them... I'd put a Power Sword on one Sergeant, and an Axe on the other, as you'll be able to choose where they reach.

Considering the list, I am not sure if the IH Chapter Tactics are the most effective... however I am not against, as they are an awesome Flavor/Fluff at the very least

Thanks for taking the time to reply with some nice input. Normally I would have a melta in my Grey Hunter Packs but I was stretched for points. I went for redundancy on the Wulfen with multiple Stormfrag Launchers, same idea applies to all of the TWC taking SS. Let's face it, when playing Space Wolves and you put these two units on the board you can bet the opposing force is going to shoot their entire army at them.

Chapter Tactics for the Skyhammer Annihilation Formation..I ended up changing it to the Forge World "Star Phantoms" to get everything Twin-Linked (Hail of Destruction) for the Grav Cannon alpha strike. See below.
Spoiler:
Hail of Destruction: Once per game, the player may declare the use of this ability and its effects last from the start of the controlling player’s Shooting phase until the start of their next Shooting phase. During this period, all units in the detachment with Chapter Tactics (Star Phantoms) count their Rapid Fire, Assault, Salvo and Heavy Weapons as being twin-linked.

I am going to tweak this list as I feel it's an incredible boon to my army and playstyle, hopefully I can find a way to squeeze in some of things you mentioned to make it a little better.

You flatter me MekLeN, I'm gonna blush.

Wolfen, let us know how it goes for you. I'd be interested in hearing about some of these allied forces.

My first game was this past weekend using the Skyhammer Annihilation Formation. Grav Cannons are incredibly powerful with this formation as the Dev Squads have Relentless the turn they come down. I've played "pure wolves" list up until now and it's really exciting to play with some of this stuff that normally my Wolves do not have access to. My game went well, rolled some nice saves on my Wulfen with the SS/TH and got the win vs Necrons. Here are the special rules associated with the Skyhammer Annihilation Formation, the synergy fits well for how I like to play. Drop Pods and Assault Marines come down turn 1 while my TWC and Wulfen move up the table!

Spoiler:
  • Shock Deployment: All units in a Skyhammer Annihilation Force start the game in Deep Strike Reserve. Instead of using the normal deployment and reserve rules for these units, you can, during deployment, choose whether this Formation will arrive during your first or second turn. The entire Skyhammer Annihilation Force automatically arrives on the turn you choose—no Reserve Rolls are required. Ignore this Formation's Drop Pods for the purposes of the Drop Pod Assault special rule.

  • First the Fire, then the Blade: On the turn they arrive from Deep Strike Reserve, the Devastator Squads in a Skyhammer Annihilation Force have the Relentless special rule and the Assault Squads can charge even though they arrived from Reserves that turn.

  • Suppressing Fusillade: A unit targeted by a Skyhammer Annihilation Force's Devastator Squad in the Shooting phase must take a Morale test at the end of the phase on 3D6, regardless of how many casualties were inflicted. If the test is failed, the enemy unit does not Fall Back, but must immediately Go to Ground. If the test is passed, the enemy unit is unable to fire Overwatch for the rest of the turn.

  • Leave No Survivors: Assault Squads in a Skyhammer Annihilation Force can use their Jump Packs in both the Movement phase and the Assault phase. If an Assault Squad from a Skyhammer Annihilation Force charges a unit that has Gone to Ground as a result of the Suppressing Fusillade special rule, that Assault Squad can reroll failed To Hit and To Wound rolls in the ensuring Assault phase.

    Good work with the Necrons!
Those are some really cool rules, almost makes me wish Space Wolves agreed to the Codex Astartes...almost.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.
