So the game plan is for the 2 WGBL to join the grey hunters. That gives me a first turn drop choice of either 2 5 melta shots to take out armour or 1 5 melta and 1 8 plasma if there is a TEQ threat. 4 of those plasma shots coming in at BS5. Long Fangs with rhino back field objectives. 2 of the TML,HB squdrons ranged fire support. The rest of the speeders more versatile against either medium/heavy infantry or armour threats obviously providing some mobility. A few issues i have is giving WGBL axes making there I5 void. My thoughts being that they are loaded with TEQ killing and if i fail to eliminate the target they will be in charge range with nothing to deal with TEQ. Maybe 1 with sword and 1 with axe? The other issue is Pods. If i run into tau with intercept the 2 pod groups have a good chance of being eliminated before i can deal damage. I could put them in rhinos instead and gain 3 more hunter missles plus a fairly large threat range even first turn with the formation ability to disembark after 12" but if i fail to get first turn they also have a good chance of being eliminated.

This is my first post on the forums. Please give me any feedback on the list I intend to start building. Thnx for any advice in advance.

I would say the GH's are going to be assassinated as soon as possible. OUCH. So many points for what they are. TDA with 4 wounds isn't a whole lot...
It's a shame to deny i5 but considering there isn't much AP2 in CC with the list, I would tend to agree on the use of Axes over other things like Claws.

Quite the shooty SW list, very very unique.
I am interested in seeing how this plays out, definitely let us know

Speeders are solid.
LF's are super solid.
BC's are solid.
Wolf Guard are solid.
The TDA WGBL's not so much, but that's ok... if you do it right. (i would tho think of a better way)

You are right for sure on the grey hunters with the WGBL's being expensive and lack luster on the resiliency. I could leave the grey hunter squad as a min squad with a plasma and combi plasma to keep the 2 pod first turn benifit. Then just take 2 WGBL's with no upgrades as a tax and sit them back with the long fangs. With the points saved I could add 2 more speeders. Or 1 more speeder and upgrade the long fangs to missles or Las.

I think the iron wolves formation has the potential to be a hard hitting and somewhat fast formation. Speeders I do believe are a big winner in this formation and lots on the field could be deadly. Your right, different from the norm.
