According to the recent GW FAQ, the Iyanden supplement is still perfectly legal to use.
I like what this offers me - the chance to take the wraith forge stone again, the chance to use voice of twilight, and the ability to make a wraithknight my warlord and have him become a character.
So, I went to battlescribe and came up with this!
Craftworld eldar, Iyanden supplement - CAD
HQ - Farseer, jetbike
HQ - Spiritseer, Wraithforge stone (this might be better placed on the bike seer to keep up with the knight....)
Elites - 5x Wraithguard, D-Scythes, Wave Serpent with TL SL & SC, Ghostwalk matrix
Elites - 5x Fire dragons including exarch, Wave Serpent with TL SL & SC.
Troops - 3x scatter bikes
Troops - 3x scatter bikes
Troops - 4x shuriken cannon bikes
Fast attack - Vyper, 2x SC (contemplating swapping for a warlock squad leader, not sure)
Heavy Support - 2x fire prisms
Heavy Support - Wraithlord, 2x Flamers, bright lance
Lord of War - Wraithknight, sword & shield, 2x star cannons. Automatically Appended Next Post: It's 1850 on the nose. It's kind of themed the way I want it and I reckon it's competitive.

I like this list. It has everything you need to be competitive, without over-spamming any of it. The fact that you have Prisms, a Vyper and a WraithLord are not only fluffy, but shows that you have units you want to play for fun/fluff, not just to be competitive.
The only downside to the list is your lack of ObSec troops. Sure Windriders are amazing and can hide, but there are a surprising number of armies that can wipe all 10 of those bike in 1 turn. Any Drop Pod themed list will force you to reserve all your bikes or lose them on the drop, then where will you Farseer be? Nids have a surprising amount of units that can kill 3 bikes at range in 1 turn: Dakka Flyrant, Fexes, Devilgaunts in Pods, etc.
I'm not saying to add more Bikes, or to trade for more Troops, I'm just saying to be aware of their weaknesses.

Thanks buddy. I like to think that in the modern day meta that comment is quite a compliment. I'd like to take it to tournaments and prove that non spam lists can perform and do well. It obviously helps that I own all the models already.

Hey Khaine, your list looks pretty good! I would trim some of the fat from it though because it will hold you back majorly in a competitive setting.
Drop the wraithlord. Just do it. I know the wraithlord is fluffy and seems fun to play but it sucks. It's too slow and has almost no damage output -- especially when you compare it to the wraithknight (it's stat line is equivalent to literally stacking 2 wraithlords on top of eachother) but the wraithknight can move 12" and actually kill things in close combat with Str-D
I would consider dropping the wraithlord, vyper, and one of the fire prisms to bring another wraithknight. I know you're trying to get away from spamming but another wraithknight would still be fluffy since your doing a saim hann/Iyanden warhost right?
Also: definitely switch over that wraithforge stone to the farseer and add the ghostwalk matrix to both wave serpents.

It's a nice idea taking a second knight, but it's a single CAD. So only 1 Lord of war slot. To get a second Knight in it means major list changing. And the idea is to take what people consider sub optimal lists and still do well.
If I WAS to drop the Lord and the vyper, I would replace them with a pair of night spinners, and then add ghost walk to the dragons serpent with the remaining 10 points.
