Hey guys! I'm a complete noob when it comes to modeling. I'm looking to make 2ish Chaos Lords on Juggernauts. I'm thinking the base should be the AoS Skullcrushers, as they look quite good through the legs, but the arms, and maybe head and torso don't quite fit the bill. So, the main lord will be on juggernaut with Gorethirster for KDK, and the second a CSM Juggerlord with Axe of Blind Fury, so both will be rocking Axes, as well as a bolt pistol. The axe that comes with the skullcrusher kit looks a little too weenie to be an artifact. I'm thinking something more like the axe that comes with the chosen from the dark vengence set. The bodies of the skullcrusher's don't look terrible for CSM/KDK, but if it's simple enough to change it out, it would be OK to change it. Same with the heads. Some of the heads actually look pretty cool for the khorne bloodbound in AoS, so if I end up with one of those, it's not the end of the world.

I'm very nervous about ruining perfectly good bits to kitbash things together when it might just end up looking like crap. Any advice to ease my mind about making things look good or making sure two things work without having previous knowledge of how two different pieces interact with eachother ahead of time.

Thanks for the help!

Pretty much all of the Khorne stuff from each range can be kitbashed. Don't sweat it.
Think about combining multiple weapons to make one megaaxe.
Something like two double handed single headed axes combined with a chainsword haft should be spikey enough.

Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.
Oli: But it fits through the doors, Look!

For mine I used the Khorne Lord on Juggernaut model. Bolt gun arm instead of shield arm, and stuck a backpack on the back - job done!
