I was thinking about getting a castellum stronghold for my loyalist Iron warriors.

My plan is to have Kyr Valen to boost it's AV and have heavy weapons and barrage weapons inside.

But the problems is that it cost a lot of points and it's so big that i can't deploy it all missions example dawn of war deployment (because the whole fortification needs to be in the deploymet zone if i understand the rules correct) + terrain can be it the way of it's deployment too.

Is it worth it to getting it? Can you deploy it in dawn of war deployment?

I've had my eye on it for a fair-doo bit of time now.
As a fortification, it seems to be the king. Just an incredible piece of defensive hardware. Even barebones, it's damn fine.

As for deploying it, I'm sure you can't have it sticking outside your deployment zone. I'd say it's pretty inappropriate for a 2x2 board; 2x3 yes, using the Hammer and Anvil deployment method.

What I recommend is making sure you have opponents that will let you use it. It's quite a pricey investment; no good if no-one wants you using the damn thing.
Particularly important for an flgs environment, I'd say. First person to get consent from is the Store Manager. (Probably just say "If your opponent's ok with it...")
