Just moved to Silver Spring MD and wanted to see if anyone else around the area would be interested in starting a gaming group. I have heard mixed things about Dream Wizards but haven't made it out there to check it out for myself yet, so any unbiased reviews would be good too.

What games are you interested in?

If you're into Games Workshop games at all the Bowie bunker is great. I am there frequently as I live right around the corner. (I just moved here myself)

Games & Stuff was mentioned previously and would be a bit longer drive for you but their selection is incredible and there always seems to be lots of people there playing.

I mostly play 40k but am not opposed to getting into something else. I have a bunch of WHFB but have never actually played a game (or painted most of it).

It looks like most of the groups aren't very active from their pages.

I think the Beltway Gamers site ended up dying.

There's a pretty good crowd every Wednesday Night at Dream Wizards.
-40k isn't as popular as it used to be, but you can still find a handful of players there.
- I think what with the release of MkIII, you'll see more people playing WM/H again.
- They've started up an INF grow campaign recently, you should be able to get in on that if interested.
- Malfiaux/Relic Knights/Guildball/X-Wing are all pretty easy to get a game in.
- Not so much WFB anymore, but a bunch of folk have been playing Kings of War which has been nice to scratch the WFB itch.

Games N Stuff is supposed to be solid if you don't mind driving over to Glen Burnie.
There's a new store in Gaithersburg as well across the road from NIST and the Dogfish Head Restaurant.
If you don't mind an even longer trek, there's also Huzzah Hobbies in Ashburn/Sterling, VA.
There's also Comics and Gaming in Fairfax, VA.
