Found a great tutorial for converting my own plastic Heirophant Biotitan and would love to incorporate it into a playable nid list.

I have a couple of caveats; must be battleforged, can only use 3 sources, but FW and all current formations are permitted. I like to play in a local tournament, which has set mission types (a variation of the rule book missions), objective secured is not massively important in these missions but I do come up against Gladius Drop Pods (Grav Heavy some times), Full Knight lists and the normal Tau and Eldar.

I know that nids cant stand up to the competitive codexes out there, but my hope is to have a bit of fun and throw a spanner in the works for some lists that might not expect nids and particularly throwing 1,000 points into a massive sink. So here is my thoughts on a list

Drop a malanthrope + the Trevigon and add a Flyrant. You will need something to provide support to the big guy and this is the best way.

You would keep both Mawlocs? I personally like them but they are very hit or miss. I only ask because I play 1 malonthrope at the moment (only own 1) and it is shot down as priority, even with the HBT and as soon as it goes my army collapses (everything except the HBT of course)

I am currently playing something similar to above but don't own a tervigon yet so am actually using my flyrant with grubs.

My other thought was the FAQ on intervening models. The Tervigon is large enough to provide the HBT with cover, which would then be made better with the Malonthrope. I guess Flyrant would do the same against Alpha Strikes

Thought through your advise and this where I am at the moment, any further advice or criticism welcome as always

The Flyrants are large enough that I can camp them in front of the Titan for the first turn and get a decent cover save against Grav, so the damage shouldn't be too costly, plus the static fortification doesn't really fit the Nid style
