For want of fielding all 6 of my robots at once, I've had to do all sorts of scribbling and scouring. Only have 2 Castellax, so unless I'm making this an Allied detatchment, the Can't Go First penalty for taking the Onslaught organisation chart seems an ok compromise. Allows me to comfortably field what I want to anyway.
Does apply as a Legio Cybernetica Battle Cohort.
Might be a glaring issue with having just one Magos, but there is a Macrocarid involved; an important question: Can a Magos perform Cyberthurgy whilst inside a Vehicle?
If Yes, that's quite the dandy boon.
1 Archmagos Dominus
w/ Cyber-Familiar, Abeyant, The Cortica Primus.
[225 pts]
1 2-man Castellax Maniple
w/ Enhanced Targeting Arrays, & Darkfire Cannons.
[280 pts]
1 Lone Domitar
w/ Paragon of Metal & Frags.
[215 pts]
1 3-man Arlatax Maniple
[525 pts]
1 Macrocarid Explorator
w/ Sponson TL'd Mauler bolt cannons, Auxilary Drive, Anbaric Claw, Armoured Ceramite, & Flare Shield.
[255 pts]
Will be used on 2x3 boards.
Strategy:
Constantly apply the Rite of Fury to the Arlatax, blind whoever the Domitar or Arlatax are against - Prioritising anything with the same or higher initiative, pin their targets in place with the 3 Maulers on the Macrocarid.
Simple enough, not as many crazy things to remember as usually adorns my lists.
- Really am hoping I can cosy away that Dominus in the Macro'. I expect he'll be one heck of a fire magnet.
Could just sit him behind it, and hope no-one flanks.

Answer: yes, they can perform repairs on the vehicle they are in - the Macrocarid can take the 'servo-rig' upgrade which allows an embarked model with the battlesmith rule to use thier repair roll on another vehicle within 3".
You can't modify the roll when using it, but it also gives it an extra shooting attack which has a 3" range but can target independently of the vehicle and is S8 AP2 heavy1.

Whilst I appreciate the answer, I asked about Cyberthurgy, not Battlesmithing; I already knew that was doable.
And an unfortunate bit of clarification: I read that Fast Attack and Elites must have at least 1 Robot before anything without, but instead, it's Fast Attack and Heavy Support, and I don't have a Thanatar...

I'll redeem my pride (a bit) with a correct answer. The cyberthurgy attempt is granted for forgoing a shooting attack but is described as a 'power' - the main rulebook only has rules on 'psychic powers' ergo nothing is excluded or penalised in the main rulebook concerning their use apart from the leadership test to activate the power. The blurb on activating a power states that no line of sight is required (don't need no fire points!) and that It can be applied to a model locked in close combat - there is no restriction there, just inclusion. A courtroom is the only place i'm aware of that inclusion is inclusive to the exclusion of all others unless specifically stated. The only issue i can see is where the point you measure from is. I'd go full wysiwyg and measure from an ariel on the vehicle personally.

Alright, that's perfect, thankyou. A nice point about the aerial.
