I'm glad people are inspired by these guys
While i'm really proud of how they came out, they did test my sanity in precise brush work and so I've switched to Destruction (Savage ork/Bonesplittas and Ironjawz primarily

)

My feedback on the runes would be black so they would look like tribal tattoos. That would look cool i think. But i love the green. Keep it up! any chance you could give us a run down on how you made that wonderful skin tone?
Thanks!
I'm happy you've gotten some inspiration from these lads.
Certainly, the recipe (from memory) was :
Layer - Administratum Grey
Wash - Nuln Oil
Layer - Ulthaun Grey ( many many many thin layers

)
Layer - White Scar (Very watered down/thin, and only on large patches of each muscle group, pretty much just bringing the bulk of each muscle to a lighter tone leaving the edges ulthaun).
That's pretty much it

Really like it- i haven't been too keen on the fyreslayers and I'm a big dwarf fan but your scheme has changed my perspective - might have a crack at them myself and pinch your blue beard idea. I think the green is fine - you could play about with the tone a bit if you wanted to change it. more blue might be too much.
Thank you !
I'm glad they've given you a fresh perspective ! I myself also liked the models/concept but absolutely hated the Orange beard and Lava style ( just not my thing).
