Subject: [2,500] Death Guard - Mixed (fluffy and Competative)
Legion Heavy Support Squad (300pts) [9x Legion Space Marines, Missile Launchers]
··Legion Sergeant [Artificer Armour, Augury Scanner]
+ Legion +
Legion Astartes [Traitor, XIV: Death Guard]
Typhon runs with the Grave Warden, Siege breaker and Master of Signal run with Missile launchers. Everything else is pretty self explanitory. Creeping death pumps up army durrability
Option 2 - Less fluff, more rude. (2,500/2,500)
Spoiler:
+++ Death Guard - Faux-competative (2500pts) +++
++ Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List (Age of Darkness) (2500pts) ++
+ HQ (410pts) +
Calas Typhon (200pts) ··Master of the Legion [The Reaping]
Legion Centurion (105pts) [Artificer Armour]
··Consul [Master of Signal]
Typhon still runs with the grave warden, MoS and siege breaker still run with a missile squad. EVERYTHING (barring maybe the terminators) hands back, and just guns down oncoming enemy everything. Missile launchers w/ augury act as my Anti-deepstrike.
The key thing both these lists lack is anti-air, but that can be mitigated by moving some points about to buy some flakk missile. Anywho, and C&C?

Your second list is incorrect, because Heavy Support squads are non-compulsory troops, so that list only had one troops choice at the moment. Other than that they are both fine Death Guard lists in my opinion. Good amount of bodies, and a heck ton of firepower to use. I like the first one better though just because Creeping Death is a better RoW in my opinion for armies like this, 5+ cover saves in the open is great for 20 man blobs. And strength 5 missiles cause more damage than given credit for.

Right you are! Well, I'd probably drop enough terminators to open up 150 points (so, it would end up being a 5-man squad ) Like I think I mentioned, rough lists I'm not sure I agree on creeping death is better, but i agree that it's pretty great (Rad grenades are great, AND the fact that creeping death cuts out allies and formations is pretty big)
