A friend of mine and I split a couple boxes of Dark Vengeance a while back and I wanted to have a small game to get him into playing. He and I recognize that Dark Angels are in no way balanced with my Chaos Marines so as a restriction to try to balance things I am going to bring a formation while he plays a CAD. It will be a 4X4 board with no objectives, just kill points. We might add Slay the Warlord and other secondary objectives, but not sure. I know pretty well what hi list will be so I will post it as well. My question is which of these builds would work better.

Both lists are BL and have VotLW.
List the First:

Daemon Engine Pack;

Warpsmith - Combi-melta, MoT, AoDG, GoM

Forgefiend X2- Hades Autocannon, Plasma Head

Aegis Defense Line - Quad Gun

Void Shield Generator Lvl 2


List the Second:

Hounds of Abbadon;

Chaos Lord - MoK, Jump Pack, GoM, Axe of Blind Fury, SoC

Chaos Marines - Min Size, Rhino

Berserkers - Min Size, Rhino

Bikers - 2X Meltagun, Melta Bomb

Warp talons - +1 Warp talon, MoK



First list the plan is to stay behind the Defense Line and shoot him to death, the second list is more assault oriented.

His list, more or less;

Librarian - Bike, Melta Bomb

Deathwing Terminators - Assault Cannon

2X Tac Squad - Plasma Gun, Plasma Cannon

Ravenwing Bikes - no upgrades
